I was thinking the same (not about getting Kear in...)

Yes he is. The rugby is absolutely dreadful to watch, his recruitment has been shocking, you’ve had the highest paid player in SL for two seasons and both seasons finished 4th, last season in a 2 horse race. Not to mention that over the last 10 games of last season you had the least amount of points. That’s relegation form for basically three months. A home playoff defeat to a pretty crap Cas team in front of about 5,500. No Widdop might buy him some time as he’ll have an excuse when you start poorly. Surprised to see a Warrington fan defend him, one game has saved his job.

5. Hull FC Lots of size, but they still have Radford in charge and too many players with attitude problems.
Genuine question - which Hull players do you perceive to have attitude problems?

Really? Are you a salary cap auditor that you are privy to such information.

No, Roberts and Austin have still been the highest paid players over the past two seasons though.

Maybe I didn’t phrase that as well as I could have.
By “attitude problem” I wasn’t really thinking if the traditional ‘petulant teenager’ attitude (though that’s exactly what Connor has).
I was more thinking about the number of times I’ve seen their players almost collectively stop bothering when they are behind on the scoreboard. That leads to them getting a right hammering rather than a routine loss and that’s then harder to put right the following week. Look at some of those defeats last season - 63 points, 62 points, 55 points, 44 points (twice) and 40 points. That’s a team that gives up when the going gets tough. On ability, they are too good a team to suffer so many heavy defeats, so if it’s not ability then it’s down to attitude.

i think if you have to answer to Manu M'au in the changing rooms afterwards, you're going to put in for the full 80

We’ll see.
Radford himself is no shrinking violet, but they didn’t seem to worry about answering to him in the changing rooms afterwards.
The one thing I would say is that FC might have signed enough players to change that culture across the team. Time will tell.

| Funny people mention Radford as being a problem, but nobosy ever mentions Powell, who despite all the fanfare around him, hasn't really achieved much, apart from one season and even then they managed to bottle the big games.

You don’t see Cas give up like Hull do. I can remember one game since 2014 when Cas were well and truly trounced - the first game of 2018 against Saints.
That’s not to say Powell is perfect. Question marks remain about big-game mentality, and around some specific games that seem to go badly every year (St Helens and Catalans away).

I'm not just talking about just getting hammered I'm comparing Radford and Powell, lots on here mentioning Radford as the reason Hull wont do as well as expected, whilst no one ever mentions Powell, I dont understand why.
