You're obsessed, you spent most of last season popping onto our board telling us how crap we are. Enjoyed meeting some of my old mates from Widnes, asked them if anyone knew who you are, they didn't but were not very complimentary.

Are you saying the Trinity team, Club staff and supporters, should just roll over and have our tummies tickled. You really don’t know very much about our club and fans. I agree with you that on paper, neutral fans may see this game an easy win for Saints. Trinity fans are not arrogant, just optimistic.

To be fair it’s the QF of the Cup and it you get through you have a one in 3 chance of drawing a championship club in the semis. Let’s be honest someone tipping Saints to win comfortably is hardly a wild prediction. Might happen might not but it wouldn’t be a surprise in the slightest if it did.

They don’t like if you tip them to lose, they don’t like it if you tip them to win even when they think they can because they prefer the underdog tag. Only prediction you can make that they’d be happy about is if you tipped Wakey to be the better team but lose by 2 points thanks to a last minute try that was given by a dodgy incorrect ref cal.

Also if you read the thread, just one person typed that among many other comments, the other posters went from not wanting Saints in the next round, to saying if we play well we might have a chance, to others not fancying it.
Shall I take your posts and then use them to generalise about all Leeds fans? nah that would be just embarrassing.

God do I have to put "SOME" before saying Wakefield fans? Wouldn't mind but it's not like SOME Wakefield fans do that when they talk about Leeds, Wigan, Cas, Hudds fans etc. It's the same kind of hypocrisy SOME Wakefield fans use when they don't like people saying the name Wildcats but they're fine using Whinos or Shudds as an insult.

Saints away was the draw nobody wanted that is for sure as they're currently head and shoulders the best team in the comp...

It's knockout football though and league form goes out of the window as plenty of games and performances in the last round showed!

Saints will start heavy odds on favourites and rightly so but the underdog tag suits us just fine!

As a Wakey fan I'm relishing the tie...we've come a long way in the last couple of seasons and this is a game where we can measure just how far we have come and we can go there with no pressure on us.

Since we've turned ourselves into a pretty decent side under Chester these last couple of seasons we've not done too badly against Saints....last 7 meetings has thrown up two wins for us...three close defeats by 2, 4 and 6 points and two blowouts...one last game of a season and the other the super 8's where we just made the numbers up...

The one game that really meant something and had something on the line other than two points was the super 8's game in 2017 where we were both playing for a top four spot so everything on the line in a knockout type game..Saints edged it by two points with a score at the death after a catastrophic error by Scott Grix! The majority of that Saints team is what's playing now...they have improved but so have we...our last two visits to Saints have resulted in a four point win and a four point loss so in my eyes we have every right to believe we can go there and win in a one off game if every player plays to the best of their ability..

Saints were running away with the league last year looking head and shoulders above everyone and were destroyed in the cup by Catalans...that day the French pack got on top and Saints had no answer...to me that's the way to beat Saints...dominate their forwards...a tough ask I know but we've a monster pack and when they're on song we're certainly one who could mirror what Catalans did that day...hoping we can get a few key players back in these coming weeks and you never know, a shock could be on the cards!

That's all perfectly fair in the context of the post - Wakey are underdogs and should play without worry, let Saints do the worrying.

It has to be said these Wakefield are the strangest set of fans I've ever come across, and I thought Wire fans were bad. Warrington fans are top class in comparison.

I just don't know were Wakey fans get this misplaced arrogance from. I suppose fans from clubs like Wigan, Saints, Leeds (and to a lesser extent Warrington) can be entitled to be a little bit cocky and arrogant at times given their clubs achievements but Wakefield???

For the record the Wakey/Saints game is the tie of the round and of co Wakefield can win but it's a nonsense to suggest Wakey have nothing to be worried about. But if they play anything like they did against Widnes then St Helens will win easy.

Quite rightly Saints are expected to win, and perhaps quite handsomely.

Wakey can go there with no pressure, no expectations, no fear. What is there to worry about?? Losing? They are expected to!

Someone has tried to explain to you once already the post about saints should worry not wakey was ment as wakey are expected to lose so no worries if they do but saints are expected to win so have more pressure to worry about
