| Quote: Beverley red "Missed the point altogether, I don’t want extra time for anyone I want a point for a draw. What I don’t want is any team getting extra time because they scraped a draw & have the chance to get lucky. The Leeds Cas game was a perfect example of that! Cas effectively denied by a contentious decision a draw was the fair outcome of that game.'" but they haven't scrapped the draw it can still happen after the extra time if no ones scored and its still level,
cas's failure to go for a last second drop goal was there for the taking but for some big headed overconfident player thought he knew better, that what cost them the points, wasn't you entertained and sat at the edge of your seat, I was, I even wanted cas to take the points

| as far as the relegation issue if wigan or leeds was at the bottom I'm sure the RFL would have a change of heart, if london, kr, hudds, salford or us I'd think they would allow it

Which just shows how stupid it is. "We don't want draws, we need it more exciting, so we are going to have golden point! unless no one scores in ten minutes. then draws are fine." If its going to stay, it needs tweaking. So far there's been 2 golden points finishes, and they've both been won in one set by the team that won the coin toss. Not particularly exciting for me.

Wrong. Wigan won the coin toss and chose to kick off to Hull, believing we wouldn't get far enough down the field to get into a DG position. That of course would've been the case had they not conceded a penalty, gifting that all important field position and subsequently, the rest is history.

Leeds played 10, 19 games yet to play, 19 x 2 so 38 points to play for.

Would it be the RFL's or SLE's decision? I ask because I'm not sure that Elstone and his puppet masters are best mates with Hetherington.

| As a Saints fan I've no sympathies where Leeds are concerned but the are one of our three biggest fixtures of the season.
For them to be relegated and replaced by Toronto or Toulouse would see a drop in revenue for clubs from visiting fans.

| Widnes were replaced by London, but nobody bothered to post a conspiracy thread. It also caused the same away support revenue issue.

You think Widnes took the same away support to games as Leeds do?
The away support isn’t the big issues, it’ll be the lost of being able to show Leeds games on Sky. Even though we’re bottom of the table we still get shown as much as anybody because we have the largest support numbers and so inevitably more will tune to watch even when we’re struggling. Same reason Leeds United get shown loads in football over the likes of Rotherham or Brentford or Bristol City.

Read my signature and shut up.
But....if you really want to debate the impact of the loss of Leeds.......in the years London were in SL and excluding those sides that no longer exist, Widnes were 8th on the the list of biggest draws to the capital in SL slightly ahead of Huddersfield and Salford who both used to borrow our taxi!

| What gives you the right to tell anyone to shut up on a chat board?

Get over yourself.
You made an inane point abut the impact of the comp losing Leeds as opposed to Widnes.......to put it in "crayon", just for you....because it a school day tomorrow, Leeds leaving SL would cost the competition 150,000 fans, or 11% (take your socks off if you need too) of the entire attendance figure for the season.......Widnes you could leave one mitten on for.....
Leeds are by far a bigger club than Widnes and Bradford.....and petty much everyone else in the north apart from maybe the pies. Widnes getting a few bob behind them in the 80's just shows that money can't buy class
