| Quote: Wilde 3 "The Taylor ones are very harsh. 3 games!!?? I have seen the footage again of the one on Clark, but it is a textbook tackle, round the legs, as you are trained as a kid to do. The player hitting Clark's upper body is also entitled to make that hit. He gets his legs caught but that for me isn't a ban for the tackling player'"
Agreed and the same with the McShane one Taylor makes the initial tackle but it’s Tuimavave that pulls the leg. Christ even McShane in his post match interview said there was nothing in it.

| Didn’t see too much in the Taylor incidents to be honest.
I have two issues with the disciplinary system.
1. Every time a suspension is handed down, that’s one incident where there referee has missed a red card. It’s reasonable to assume that if the foul play warrants a suspension of one whole game or more, then it was worth of being sent of for part of a game and the referee missed it. Given the number of suspensions we see on a weekly basis, that’s an awful lot of serious foul play that our on-field officials are missing completely or getting wrong.
2. The current system doesn’t offer fair recompense to the team who suffer from foul play. Let’s take Taylor’s suspension as an example (whether or not it is fair). Castleford have lost a player during the game itself and for a number of weeks as a result of what the panel have deemed to be serious foul play, yet the beneficiaries of Taylor’s suspension will be other teams. Of course, there’s the argument that Castleford might benefit from other players being suspended from previous games too, but it’s no way to run a professional sport when this happens on such a regular basis. I’d like to see one game of each suspension carried over until that player is due to face the team he committed the foul play against. So if a three match ban was handed down, two would be served immediately and one would be served the next time the player is due to play the team he committed the offence against.

| Has Taylor been done 2 matches for the McShane offence? What was the other one match ban for?
I cannot find any information on either confirming what the offence(s) were for and what minute(s) they were committed.

The tackle on Clarke, which was just one of those unfortunate things that can happen in a tackle. Ridiculous to be honest.

New Beginnings... Same RFL ...
Some bizarre hearings this week . Blake Austin / Joel Tomkins .
And Scott Taylor 3 Match ban . Bizzare .
https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/r ... ed-2537761
“Not going to make any comment on the ban,” he wrote. “Very gutted and can’t wait to be back out there with the boys! Get behind them as always. Thanks for the messages last 24 hours"

| Honestly lost for words.
I actually am seriously considering turning my back on this sport, I just can't stand or bare how the rules are only applied to certain clubs. Add to this how poorly run the game is and after 25 years im fed up of wanting/waiting to see this sport turn into the spectacle it should be.
I have a season ticket but I can't even bare to go to games anymore, on the rare occasion we do win you usually end up leaving disgruntled over poor refereeing.

What is the point of the referees putting anything on report, it's just a cop out. If anything untowards happens in a game then the match review panel pick it up anyway.

| How on earth Blake Austin wasn’t charged after the Joel Tomkins incident beggars belief. He got cited twice in the first week for cheap play . Grubb .

It probably had something to do with the video which doesn't show any foul play. I assume he was yellow carded for a late tackle but again the video shows that Joel wasn't held and consequently Blake's tackle was legal.
