It is stupid. Whilst the overall player quality throughout SL might not be as good as previously I think they could perform much better if given more of an offseason. 3/4 more weeks to recover from the previous year, more time to work on fitness for the upcoming season, more time to work on individual and team skills. Really are sacrificing quality for quantity.

ROUND 1 - Warrington AWAY
ROUND 2 - Wigan AWAY
ROUND 10 - Salford AWAY (brought forward due to earlier participation in CC)
ROUND 3 - Saints AWAY
As much as I love a good old conspiracy thread, I believe its more to do with building work at headingly rather than a conspiracy.....

Not sure why you're so worried.... as Leeds go from poop to world beaters in alternating years, surely this means you're set for a domestic treble this season?

Anyone know when the Championship fixtures come out?'"
Ridiculous next they will be letting Toronto play their first games away. Smacks of favouritism by the RFL

Like I said before I agree that’s why we’re away, landing those three in particular is something else.

Yeah it seems to creep further and further forward each year..
Our season should be mirroring the NRL by starting in early march and finishing when they do. Too many games crammed in, it's draining the fans and killing the game.

| Quote: Willzay "In all seriousness, how hard is it to come up with a simple home/away format instead of these stupid blocks. God knows what the loop fixtures will be arranged like.'"
The loop fixtures are interspersed through the season and are thus in the announced fixture lists already. I don't know why some people seemed to think they would be stuck on the end as the last six games. They never were before when we used them, the only reason the fixtures fell that way in the eights was because the final 7 fixtures were not known until after round 23 due to that season format.
Have a look at Wakefield's fixture list and you should see that you have 3 fixtures against Wigan(2nd in league table), Warrington (4th), Huddersfield (6th), Hull FC (8th), London (nominally 12th) and whoever finished up in 10th place after 30 games (Leeds I think).

|
|
| London have Wakey,HKR, Salford, St Helens, Catalans and Castleford 3 times each (BOLDED SIDES AT HOME TWICE), with the added treat of another side for a 3rd time at Magic (Leeds?)
14 has been sufficient to finish 11th as an average over the last few years, but with 25% more games, this will probably be nearer 18 points, so 9 wins needed to stay up.......

By the time Wigan play the Roosters they would of played what 3 games?
As you say we need to mirror the NRL season.

Yep and two of those at home. Bit rich coming from someone who constantly peddled conspiracy about Toronto event the 8’s about refs performances for them.
