| Quote: Sir Kevin Sinfield "All the England players play in Super League. They were evenly matched by PNG, the majority of who play in the Queensland Cup or PNG league. There are plenty of potential Super League players on show there our clubs should be looking to recruit.'"
Why are you totally obsessed with signing overseas players - have you not worked out yet that it’s British players we been to give a chance. Your attitude sums up all that’s wrong with British RL.
Also and I'll bite here, if you're seriously sugesting the Queensland Cup or the PNG league is close to SL standard then it's clear youre just trolling.
The PNG league doesn't even bare up to NL1, have you any idea what a small impoverished nation PNG actually is - get a grip.
The QC is lower end Championship. I know this because quite a few ex Wakefield Academy players play in it - these same players who couldn't get a game in SL. Jeez two years ago one of the teams had Sam Obst and Semi Tadulala in it - both were heading for forty and both had been let go by Wakefield and then Keighley Cougars yet these teams are equel to the Knights!
What gets PNG results is fervent home support, red hot temperatures and a core of NRL players.

Which is exactly what I was arguing on this thread.

No mate and forget the silly wink, you were wrong but you just can’t admit.
No similarity at all to what I said.

| Game 2
PNG 32 - 22 England Knights
An all Super League England Knights squad have been defeated by a PNG squad made up largely of PNG based Queensland Cup players. This is a terrific result for PNG Rugby League.
PNG is a gold mine of Rugby League talent, there are so many potential Super League players, many on show today, our clubs would be foolish not to snap them up.

PNG have had a solid team for a few years now we saw that in the WC. And they will always give bigger teams a game in home conditions, if that was played at Fev on Wednesday night then it's a different story.
That said happy for PNG a good result for RL.

| Problem with PNG is that they have some great athletes skilful players, tough as teak and committed.
But they lack structure and discipline as a team.
Having a team in the NRL would do them wonders

IIRC, 8 Hunters Players were snapped up by NRL clubs a year or so back......7 have returned from whence the came. PNG players don't travel that well, especially to colder climes, and February in Yorkshire is about 30 degrees colder than February in Port Moresby/Queensland......but I'd be delighted if "your" (SIC) leeds side snapped up a few of them.....

| Or on the other hand, a mish mash squad containing mainly 19-21 yo fringe players drew a series against a nation where RL is the main game.

I’m sorry for a supposed English fan you seem to take delight in the loss. The fact liam sutcliffe is anywhere near an international side is a joke. Even more of a joke he got called up against France for the first team. The lads played a very good team in a hostile environment. The Queensland cup is a fantastic competition and I would say is higher standard than champ and lower end SL.
Anyway the lads seem to have have a great experience and it’s brilliant the concept has allowed this tour
