...if true, the Halifax are truly the hardest nut to crack....because he had years to destroy them and yet I'd rate them as in te top 10 of fiscally viable clubs..... |

Really? They essentially have no physical assets, appear to have been in a constant battle with the Council regarding rent for The Shay over the last few years, have little in the way of income outside of matchday admissions, had to give everyone a 10% pay cut at the start of 2017 and were very strongly rumoured to be looking at making significant cuts if finishing outside the 4 this season. In 2016 their liabilities outweighed their assets by some £269k (accounts are [over]due for this year so can't yet see whether that's improved) |

HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
