| I wonder what the average away following in Super League is? For Saints, we have Catalans, Huddersfield, Salford, Wakefield, Hull KR bring no more than a couple of hundred fans. Only Wigan and Warrington consistently bring more than 1,000. That's not a criticism. We play on a Friday night, fans work on a Friday, it's tough to make it to a match.
For the Hull clubs, I doubt that any side aside from the other Hull side, Leeds and maybe Castleford take more than a few hundred fans. If Widnes went down, would it make that much of a difference if they take 50 fans to Hull and Toronto take 0?
Maybe clubs should focus more on filling their grounds themselves rather than relying on others?

Warrington Wolfs - 0
Wakefield Trinity - 0
Leigh Centurions - 0
[quote="Budgiezilla":3w2ur1db]Surely it can only be a player from Catalans. Probably the best RL side I have ever witnessed in this season's comp.[/quote:3w2ur1db]: |

Summed it up perfectly.

| Somebody will be displaying this banner for the match. Hopefully it should help TWP's case that they mean business. Then again it only exposes the apathy and lazy efforts of most established clubs to promote themselves...

It depends on the night really we’re supposed to play sundays but due to sky we only had 3 Sunday games this year so that has a bearing on the Lancashire clubs coming over I have noticed a drop off in away fans in recent years take Hull out of the equation and I’d say Leeds bring the best following then Wigan and Wakefield Cas and Hudds also bring a few fans with Wire and Saints it depends on the night Widnes predictably bring the least apart from Catalans of course

do they f&&k!
Salford in London was the worst attended game (on average over the SL era) with the exception of Catalan........ex-pat norvunners would generally be a large part of the gates when the likes of Wigan, Leeds and Stains visited, but Salford, without a shadow of a doubt where the worst supported away side in the capital.
Feel free to counter this with your opinion, but the fact and statistics will shoot you down in flames......

| Quote: Muggins "A lack of away fans need not be a problem. Clubs without any away fans should instead buy up a load of mannequins on the cheap from declining high street stores like Debenhams and Marks and Spencer. Dress them up in your team shirt and have them transported to each away game where they can be put into a section of the stadium so that they look like a dedicated away support. You just need one real fan with them, equipped with a 1980's style ghetto-blaster and a tape containing various pre-recorded songs and chants in support of that team. Press the button when appropriate and unleash some atmosphere. Job done.'"
M&S? We'll need to replace the burger vans and bars with stalls selling quinoa and coconut water

| On a tangent, have Catalans sold many tickets for Wembley? To their actual fans in Catalunya I mean, not the handful of weirdos in England who support them. I understand that every neutral will want them to win - I would if they were playing against anyone else - so any none Wires fan will probably pick up a flag or scarf outside the ground. I'm just wondering how many will actually travel with them though. London is the easiest city in the UK for them to fly, drive or get the train to, and it's a final, so surely most home regulars at least will want to be there.

Even small clubs like CFR Cluj take 2000 to CL away games. All Northern European clubs take up be full 3000 away sections every single CL game.

| Empty seats don't really bother me as they're the norm, but it isn't going to look great when there's at least 40,000 of them at the game's terrestrial TV showpiece next week. I'm absolutely not an advocate of moving the CCF away from Wembley though. It just is what it is.

The old south stand bar at Leeds led the way when it came to serving coconut water. At least I hope that's what it was.

Between 2,500 and 3,000 I believe.

| Is there a reason why their home support doesn't travel to games like this? I might be wrong, but I reckon if the CCF was in Paris or Barcelona then most English teams could take around 10,000 to it.
