| leaving the refereeing out of it, i was pleased with the hull display for the most part. despite missing some key players we pushed leeds all the way and good performances from some of the young players. matongo has all the ingredients to be a top international prop, and fash and lane on debut had good games. still look likely to be there or thereabouts come the business end of the season

| what id love to know is what ‘mystery’ SKY guest picked all 4 man of the match nominees from Leeds in such a tight game? Was it Kevin Sinfield? Barrie McDermott? Gary Hetherington? MelB? Keith Lemon? Very one sided coverage.

| I thought Abdull and Taylor should've been short listed with Watkins and Myler (who I thought was MotM)

| Hull, very, very unlucky tonight. Poor video ref decisions cost them.

| Hull hard done by, Ablett and JJB have done this far too many times. Big clubs seem to get those decisions to go for them far too often.

| Leeds find a way to win a tight game. Who'd of thunk it? Last week Thaler gift wrapped the 2 points but no wailing from the faithful. This week the ref and dirty leeds robbed them? Was working so just started to watch game now so after reading both leeds and hull boards I'm expecting lots of contentious calls? Sometimes the best team wins and as fans it's best to just admit it

| Honestly don’t think Hull will get the top 4 this year, I’m more worried about Wakey. We only played for 50 mins against them and got the W. They were off the pace tonight as well I thought. They think they are better than they are and all this hysteria about swapping a GF for a CC isn’t doing them any good it’s just piling the pressure on needlessly. I can see Hull finishing 6th and going deep in the cup again.

So, the majority of the match then?
The games we've lost so far this year are Wigan away (granted away for Wigan too!), Cas away and Leeds away. All fixtures that you wouldn't necessarily expect to win anyway. And been off the pace tonight doesn't surprise me as we were missing 7 first team players, 3 of which (Kelly, Houghton, Watts) are very likely our 3 best players. Yet we were off the pace and still had a decent chance of winning the match. It showed that our depth is pretty good.
We'll be up there challenging for top 4. Might not get it because there will be 5 or 6 teams challenging and somebody has to miss out, but we'll definitely be there or there abouts.

I think Hull and cas may well miss out on the 4. When you played us you had everyone available and 2 weeks rest to prepare whereas we had some key injuries and had only been back from oz for about 5 days. Despite that you still struggled to put us away.
As for last night, Hull were hard done to by the chalked off "try" just before half time but we lost because we couldn't defend well enough and didn't offer enough threat in attack in the leeds 20. Maybe excusable with 6/7 of the first choice players missing but disappointing nonetheless

| I'm very confident if we can get some bodies back and don't suffer too badly with injuries we will finish above Cas and finish in the GF.
I think the next 5/6 fixtures (Which look good on paper) are the big test for Hull, but we have shown we have the depth, which will be key over Easter.

| didn't Leeds have a few missing as well?
Cuthbertson, sutcliffe, keinhorst, ward, peteru? ( I might be missing more )
Or we not allowed to talk about that?
I thought there bench looked very weak, young walker didn't get on either did he?

| The touch judge coming on was a strange one but we all bemoan they don't get involved enough? Thought ref was finicky but gave similar penalties against both teams. 2 very strange VR interpretation so can see why the gnashing of teeth on way back home for Hull. I actually thought it was a decent game and BOTH teams had good lads missing. Felt like the 2nd half was all Hull but didn't see any stats? Love em or hate em Leeds are bloody tough side
