Barcelona for me as well, it would be great.
Looking at the results Coventry is one of the lowest so we'll most probably end up there

| What are people's views on Birmingham? The football teams aren't as massive, no big RU teams (I think?), untapped yet fairly close to our traditional base. If the locals like what they see it is manageable start going to Warrington games, or Coventry Bears if they don't fancy travelling.

I'd go for that, in terms of villa park, just about right size ground at 42,000, I always say that a full ground is more important that a big one half empty cos it creates a better atmosphere. Not a hard ground to get to on public transport either cos there is a train station just about across the street from it, just change in city centre I guess. As you say, no massive rugby presence in the city so would be good to get in there, especially seen as it is the second biggest city in the country and close to Coventry where rfl seem to be obsessed with so can still tap into that supposed market.

| I don't know why the RFL are so exercised about Coventry (if they are), the Wasps are in on the ground floor there, attracting decent crowds, in the Premiership final, I think.
Don't know Birmingham really, no strong feelings either way on that. Newcastle's not for me, anywhere else I don't mind that much.

| It's a horrible accent that I find infectious. I'd come back sounding like Noddy Holder after a weekend.

You're assuming that the RFL would hold MW in Birmingham in tandem with a cohesive strategy to engage locals and leave a legacy in it's wake, which won't happen because they're fkn useless.

THey ought to engage Perez at Toronto, he seems far more media savvy than any of our lot

| Barcelona hands down. My 2nd choice would be Dublin. Surprised it's not on the list.

| Don't know why there's this obsession with a bigger ground, when has any of the stadia used being to capacity on any given game, there hasn't. Many fans are mickying it up outside.
this is why coventry will work, supply and demand so not having to give tickets away as is the norm and in an area with an up and coming club that isn't too far for all to attend.
Barcelona, just lol, Rl fans don't even want to dip in their pockets to fork out for a full priced match ticket or whine about the cost of a CC game/International ticket and you want to suggest having the MW in Barcelona is a viable option, utterly ridiculous!

I'm with you on Dublin, it would be a great shout. Although Barcelona would be a good weekend for those who can afford to go I don't see how it would benefit RL.
The concept of the Magic weekend relies on the stadium. It needs to have spare capacity to allow for the unreserved seating and it needs to have the space around it for all the extras that go with it. The Ethiad is perfect for tha, the Olympic stadium in London would also be a good fit.

Tell it how it is Willzay! I can't disagree though, who would want to spend a weekend there?!

Totally agree James
Dublin Great shout BUT very expensive all round i've been told.
Coventry =Nahhhhhhhhhh
London =Bigger Nahhhh
Anfield =YES nice place plenty places to explore.
Etithad = Yes We've all been there know what to expect, Plus Salford Quays is a great place to stop.
Cardiff = YES Just like Newcastle ground & Pubs/Shops are Central.
Newcastle = Big YES just like Cardiff but better there have a Chinatown.
As for having a smaller Stadium then we'll end up with fans complaining that they're been shoved in a corner of the ground due to the so-called big clubs having more fans to accommodate a certain section of the ground, I suppose the RFL can't win
Up The Trin
