I wouldn't refer to it as an issue, just making a point that whatever happens in RL you can guarantee it'll be moaned about.

| Think it's a good idea. GB is a brand that traditional RL fans love. It's a brand that people new to the sport get or have exposure to through athletics or RU.
If done properly. I.E. GB for most games and home nations for WC and WC qualifying it might actually open up the player pool for smaller nations because they won't feel they are handcuffed away from the big games. Guys like Ben Currie or in the future Regan Grace can continue to put their hand up for Ireland or Wales, without fear of missing out on regular matches especially against top opposition, as they can play for GB.
Smart move all round.

There is no point to bringing back Great Britain. The team will be exactly the same as the England team.

| It's also a terrible decision to scrap the massively successful Four Nations tournament, which has seen attendances rise year after year. The Four Nations gave the opportunity for France, Wales, Scotland, PNG and Samoa all to play 3 games against Aus, NZ and Eng, it also takes away 2nd tier Nations tournaments actually meaning something, as was the case when Four Nations qualification was up for grabs.

Maybe at first but did we not have a lot of x union players in the old days that made up the GBL and they stuck around for some years and were good league players maybe just maybe it will happen again

I think the 4 Nations had to become at least 5 or 6 Nations for it to really help develop the 2nd tier nations.
What I'd rather have is an annual, mid-season 5 Nations in both Britain and Australia.
So a 5 Nations of:
England
Scotland
Wales
Ireland
& France
And a separate 5 Nations of:
Australia
New Zealand
Papua New Guinea
Fiji
Samoa
4 games, no final. Top of the league wins.
That would then give all those 2nd tier nations 4 guaranteed games in a top tier competition every year. That kind of stability would be a massive boost to the 2nd tier nations in my opinion.

| Pretty stupid and regressive waste of time TBH. And if this 'tour' is taking place at the same time as the 2021 WC qualifiers as rumored then it should be scrapped immediately.

Scotland drew with New Zealand in 2016. Samoa have just played England for the 1st time mid-season and PNG have a fully professional team playing in the Australian league. The 2nd tier nations are making progress. However the scrapping of the Four Nations will mean there isn't the incentive to hold a Pacific cup or European Cup, which along with the Four Nations has helped these teams make progress. These changes are going to see 2nd tier nations playing even less games than before.

Would be nice. Would only ever be a goer in a knockout format based on rankings i.e. first round Eng and Scot get a bye in the northern comp and Aus and NZ in the southern, add in Italy (?) and Tonga to make up 4 teams in the 1st round. That way Australia might agree to play two mid season internationals instead of just the ANZAC test.

This was when union was an amateur sport. They came for the money that was on offer in club RL. It was nothing to do with whether we called the international team England or Great Britain.

It's pie in the sky stuff. It won't happen in the next 100 years.

Would like to think it might, but in all probability what it will do is produce more Sam Burgess and Sonny Bill Williams.
The "fringe" union players won't get a chance so won't bother swapping code.
