That being the case why on earth did they subject us to Stevo for 25 years?

It is hard to be harsh on Terry and Baz , great players that they were but still it has to be said, their must be better out there......

Barrie and Terry should never have been anything more than an occasional 5 minute piece pre-game or on Boots n All.

I agree Barrie is better than Terry but still he isn't particularly good. Terry is just awful and should never have got a job as a commentator or pundit. As others have said he offers no insight and, along with the others, makes the whole thing sound like a group of mates watching the game in a pub.

There's far too many of them. Reduce it down to Eddie and 1 other during the game. That may well be a role that Barrie or Phil Clarke could do ok, the 2nd commentator with Eddie taking the lead and simply doing the commentating rather than delving into analysis, which he's shocking at, however he's excellent when he sticks to the commentating.

Then have Brian Carney, Jon Wells and a guest in the studio. I'd like to see them get more involved with the analysis at half time rather than it just be Jon Wells. That's not a criticism of Wells, just I think the guests are often under-used.

The whole thing needs to be a lot more professional and much less like a group of mates messing around.

Has anyone written to Sky with a solution to this or just moaned on here ?

Listen to the NRL games, and the likes of Fittler, Lewis, and especially, Sterling, illuminate and explain the game in a grown-up fashion. Compare with those fools on Sky and they are a bunch of over-grown schoolboys in comparison.

If you do some research, you will know there is no need for anyone to contact the police, as that has all ready occurred. I can only assume at this point that the referee involved has brought the action. Then again, I have noticed from your posts that you don't really research much before posting inaccurate and some time, just plain incorrect stuff on here.

I'm sure that our game would get a bigger following with a better commentator. We have had Eddie Wareing, Ray French, Steve and lastly and certainly least...Terry O'Connor!
As someone has already posted, he is so monotonous, repetitive and uninformative.
What also grates is his lack of English grammar...he done this, he done that, he went REIGHT through.
I'm waiting for him to say ee, bah, gum!

Had to wait 22 seconds for tonight's first "setasix". Come on Sky. Get rid. We need intelligent, eloquent commentators who can reflect the quality of the players we are watching. Not a thick ex player ramming his kitchen sink view of the world picked up in the last century.

Does O'Connor think he's doing a coaching video for the Under 8s? Phil Gould would pay for himself if Sky paid him 10 times what O'Connor gets as a co commentator.

eddie waring was fine and did a huge amount to put RL on the map in this country, it was the back end of his career due to illness and the BBC not getting shot sooner that it all went wrong.
French was okay in some respects but simply not a commentator.
The only decent TV commentator we've had was Keith Macklin.
Dave Woods is a load of pap too.
