| Approx 2000 last night, taking away the estimated 250 from Rovers, that leaves a Super League club in one of the UK's largest cities only drawing around 1750 home fans for a non-televised game. Man United been at home will have made no difference, the area clearly just does not care enough about RL in sufficient numbers.
I bet the owner wishes he'd never bothered.

| That balding touch judge is shíte. Seen him at Wigan plenty of times and he's the most blind fool to ever grace a flag.

No, I think we were at about 4500 average despite being battered week in week out.
Not sure what out 2004 2nd tier average was but it wouldn't have been anywhere near that high and probably a fair bit lower than the 3500 we are averaging this season.
Just had a look at a few of our 2004 attendances and they seemed to vary between 1400 and 2500 so i'd guess a 2000ish average. So a big increase when we went up to SL even taking into account how much of an absolute flop that season turned out to be.

poor call from the touch judge, leeds scored back to back tries off that miss! not saying london would have won, but at 12-24 it took the game away from them
credit to the broncos who never gave up and scored the best try of the game from their winger

| I think Leigh are a different proposition this time around. They have a backer and top-level facilities.

There was less than that in the game V Huddersfield, we took a decent number, 5-600 ish and the crowd was 2,184.

| Quote: The Devil's Advocate "This years middle eights is proving highly entertaining for me so far.
Last season Wakefield proved they were the worst S.L. side by losing to all the other three S.L. teams, but this year I don't (as yet) see another Wakefield.
Also this year Leigh appear to be stronger than Bradford were last year.
I imagine Leeds will breeze through, but I also thought Salford would have too much firepower, is the Dr's threat to walk away having an effect on the team, because that team is better than that.'"
Bradford thrashed Salford last year and didn't even get home advantage.
That's where the disadvantage for Champipnship sides comes in.
Bradford beat one SL team Wakefield lost to all of them but got home advantage.
Leigh therefore need to beat two SL teams to avoid the MPG.
If they can pick off Huddersfield or Hull KR that leaves them needing to beat both Championship clubs they have left to play to go up automatically.
There's a lot can happen between now and the end of the middle 8's.
I think they are capable of that though and I really hope they do it.
It will be really funny to see the whinging for one thing. If there were 2 SL clubs in MPG they would have to cut their cloth and reap what they sow etc etc.
Speaking from experience the MPG is a horrible thing to go through. It's not like a final it's truly awful and you just feel sick throughout.

Don't have a treble win to concern yourself with?

I like how you're implying it's unfair that Bradford didn't get home advantage for beating Salford. The reason you didn't get home advantage was because you were thrashed by us at Belle Vue and couldn't even beat Halifax.
