| Quote: Talent Spotter "Good effort from a Salford side with a second rower at half back and another second rower at hooker.
Players missing
So they had 8 injured come match day and 3 suspended, fc had 7 injured and 1 suspended
Great credit by harris marwan and co for trying mind games and putting all the pressure on fc, next time maybe just keep quiet and get on with it like saints and wakey

Perhaps there was a mind games element however we had 12 players at training during the week which would suggest a few that played tonight were not 100‰.
At risk of repeating myself I think it is more the positions where Salford's injuries have occurred that has done the damage for us. At least they should all be fresh later in the season.

Yet fcs' injuries are all in the forwards
Id like to think our players will be fresh later in the season but with our coach we have no attack structure, just barge it over

Most teams have players unavailable for aspects of training until Wednesday/Thursday/Friday as they're recovering from knocks in the previous game. That's what your physios and conditioners are for. And that's why, at Leeds anyway, there is only 1 short team training session before Wednesday in the week.
For the Hudds v Leeds game, Watkins, Delaney, Ablett, Cuthbertson & JJB were all suffering from knocks/injuries before the game. Im sure Huddersfield and other clubs had a similar amount too.

| Quote: Dave K. "Hull had Westerman, Paea, shaul, Ellis, green and Bowden out. The first 4 maybe our best players, so while they had more out, it wasn't as bad as the club were making out. Still a good effort from salford though.'"
I forgot Hadley, Lancaster and Logan, so that is 10 players out.

| Quote: JonB95 "That Salford team looks fine to me besides the lack of a half back alongside Fages. Certainly good enough to beat Hull.'"
I suppose "fine" depends on whether you place any importance on missing a first choice winger, both first choice centres, both first choice halfbacks, first choice hooker, a first choice prop and two first choice backrowers. Add a fullback playing out of position on one leg receiving treatment on the run for the full game because he was less inured than others, and having your second choice hooker returning from injury before he should have been. Forget the number of injuries, it's the significance of them to the team that's bitten Salford. Hopefully the experience will be good for those who have filled in and shown up fairly well.

I must bring up Saints again , as they had a similar injury crisis over Easter and you didn't hear them asking for postponements. It's what squad depth is for.
