| There is a vast amount of money and potential sponsorship to go for in the Emirates. Personally I think it is flattering they are interested. They have a track record of Formula 1, Tennis, Golf, and other events run successfully. I have seen their football stadia and they are up to the task. If they weren't the Emeratis would make them fit, that's how they do business. As already said, the climate shouldn't be a problem in November December or January, very pleasant in the evenings in my experience. All very positive in my view view, but there is one fatal flaw.
Neither Dubai nor Abu Dhabi is on the M62

| It will be held in England with the odd token game in Fra/Wales as per normal. I can't believe anyone genuinely thinks that any of these countries are serious about hosting it, or that anyone in the RLIF wants a RLWC played in front of near-empty stadiums. I'm from Wales and the RLWC gets enough stick here for having so many 'heritage' (plastic) teams pad it out, to have that and empty stadiums would kill any of the strides made at the last/next WC.

Well we can't have it in Australia because of the way the Aboriginal population is treated. Surely we can't have it in the UK, a state that participates in illegal wars in the Middle East, causing thousands of innocent civilian deaths.

| A great opportunity for the sport.
250,000 Aus/NZ/UK ex-pats in the country. Easy(ish) to fly to from both Europe and Aus. Potential of significant investment. Give RL a greater profile, and probably help us shake the cheap, working class image off somewhat.
I'm all for it. Why not.

| May I suggest to all those advocating uae as a great world cup option simply on the back of there being loads of rich blokes there, have you considered applying for a job at Fifa? You'd probably enjoy it there.

I think this is the key point. The fact that our sport is even on their radar is a great thing.
I agree that November in Dubai is going to be a lot nicer than November in Hull and if they are willing to put the money up front to guarantee it is a financial success, we should go for it.
You would struggle to keep me away.

Been to watch the HSBC 7's in dubai an i can tell you one thing you most certainly are allowed to drink in the stadiums, plenty of leathered people falling about, think what they do as they cant serve alcohol is sell you a cooler which happens to contain 4 cans of your poison.
Need some proper stadiums there, the 7's was out in the desert in a makeshift building with stands and not real seating apart from the astro turf on the levels, that being said the atmosphere was very good but that may have been due to the number of international people there, it does get hot though.

| The more countries that bid for RLWCs the better for Rugby League on the international stage.

you really don't have a clue, go back to your glass factory, wheelbarrow and flat cap, you're another narrow minded let's stick to the M62 type that will be smug as feck when our sport eventually dwindles to the square root of feck all in the not too distant future and goes back to Pilk Recs playing on the local park as the pinnacle of RL..go bog off back to your cave and let the open minded of us progress the sport into the 21st Century

Yeah, 21st century UAE is great. Money > human rights. Hopefully some migrant workers who've had their passports confiscated can come along to the games
Only money matters. It's the 21st century way.

| I would like to see a really left field venue like Beijing or Tokyo. Costs would be enormous but big stadia would be filled to capacity (and in China's case even if the spectators did not want to be there).
It think that The Japanese have all the attributes to be better Rugby League players than union ones.
