Salford Red Devils RLFC.

| Salford 66 Swinton 4.
Much stronger Salford side than the one which played at Dewsbury last week. It was still missing Junior Sa'u, Ben Jones-Bishop, Mason Caton-Brown, Greg Johnson, Michael Dobson and Weller Hauraki who will feature in the first choice 17 you'd imagine.

Thanks for the link, helped to satiate my RL appetite, if only a little.
Kelly looks like a real livewire for Rovers, once the weather warms up a bit and the pitches firm up he could turn out to be a very shrewd signing.
Also good to see Curtis Naughton back in the super league. I would rather he was back at Bradford, but I still wish him well at FC.

They weren't in the game at all and then Kelly made a break slipping out of a few tackles, they shipped it wide and scored and the game changed on its head, with Kelly and Sio being involved in pretty much everything from then on.
Campese was anonymous though.'"
Dont know what game you were watching...if Campese stays anonymous all season that will do me.

Tbf his long kicking was good and got you out of trouble during a spell that your forwards were getting battered, but with ball in hand he didn't contribute a whole lot. I'm not saying he's a bad signing or anything, the guys only been in the country for a couple of weeks.

| I'll add my thanks for the link too. Only watched the first half so far; it's late, and I'll watch the rest tomorrow. Campese has done OK, but FC look quite decent so far. Didn't Ellis get injured pre-season last year? Didn't necessarily look anything too serious, though.

Thanks for that. Looks like Hull KR will have a great team for 2015, with the only weakness being back row where Larroyer and Burke will need to have two equally good partners. I would even go so far as to say that Hull KR will have one of the four best backlines in Super League.
Hull FC will have a good backline, and the best back row in Super League (Ellis, Minichiello and Westerman). Unfortunately I don't think that the Hull FC halves are quite good enough to match some of the other teams.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

Close to a full strength starting line up ( 4-5 non 1st choice ) in the 1 st half, when Leigh built up an 8 point lead, 2 nd half a young squad but still a fair bit of SL experience, when good play by them ( and some poor handling and decision making by Leigh ) gave them a 2 point lead
Leigh added some fringe late on but got themselves together to win with the final score
A good tight match

| Just watched the second half of the Hull derby. Well HKR suddenly decided top start playing in the second half! Good performances from Kelly, who always looked a threat with his running game, and Dixon, who kicked some fine conversions.
