| I don't think it was a cracking game, especially for the neutrals. Canterbury hardly ever looked like scoring.

Good have been an all time great of our game, now just another money grabbing traitor to the game that bred him.

| What a waste of rl talent! Good game by Sam but thought george was by far more deserving of the mom.

| Sam will be wasted in R.U. I'd give it 2 years and the pull of Sydney (sunshine, family , girlfriend getting homesick) will prove too much.
George m.o.t.m for me, and thought Tom did well too.
The occasion and the commentary especially was 1st class...100% improvement on Eddie & Stevo.

| For those who don't have Premier Sports, match highlights are on Welsh channel S4C at 14:30. You should get it on Freeview.

| It'll really hit him when he attends his first Bath training session on a dark wet and cold winter night and the coaches have them doing stuff that Dewsbury Moor did 15 years ago.

The downside.
The upside will hit him when he checks his bank balance.
He'll do a few years, get the RWC done then he'll back back at souths circa 2017.

I don't completely disagree but given what he's done today his value as a marketable Rugby League player in the NRL has just skyrocketed.

I know, I really wish he'd stayed put. Not least because englands pack would be looking pretty tasty, but he could really have moved onto a whole other level down under.

Thanks for the tip off. Couldn't understand a word, and I reckon the "phlegm bucket" needs emptying in the commentary box, but it was still better than Eddie & Stevo.
Isaac Luke did a great John Terry impression at the end.

| The whole thing from the pre match entertainment through to all the emotion at the end was incredible. Sam Burgess is going to go down as a true great and it is a great shame that he is leaving for union, But if anyone deserves a chance to earn themselves a better wage in another code it's him. I certainly can't hold it against him. Hopefully one day RL can get to a point where we can afford to offer players a better wage to keep them in RL but I can't see it personally.
G Burgess had a great game too. I was disappointed to hear all the Aussies booing James Graham. Don't think he did anything to deserve that. He was involved in 2 unfortunate head clashes but don't think he did anything wrong. He didn't even seem to be aware that the collision he was involved in had broken Sam's cheekbone.
overall a fantastic game that just ran away in the last 10 minutes from the Bulldogs.

| Sadly the NRL could afford it now but keeps the clubs shackled to keep the poor performing clubs competitive. Sths could have thrown enough $'s at him to have kept him if they had been allowed.

And that is why any of the eight could have made the GF and the teams just below gave a great end of season push to make the eight (Broncos, Warriors, Eels).
The proper use of a strong salary cap is why the NRL is so good and highly unpredicatble on who will eventually win. Look at SL and see if you can say the same thing. How many SL GF winners have we had in all the years it has been played?
Wigan, Leeds, Bradford, Saints.
That's poor. An even comp does raise the standards.

| Yes it brings an equal level of mediocrity to mid table teams, though reality is 4-5 clubs have dominated the NRL for the last few years anyway

| Huge credit to the Welsh (SC/4) for their coverage this afternoon. Clwb.
Very passionate about sport, that really shone through. SC/4'S evening sports round up covered all the day' s big sports stories, including the EPL, Marathon, etc but it began with the NRL Grand Final all the tries, and ended with the NRL Grand Final. Excellent stuff!!
