| Out of interest why on earth wasn't the offside checked for that final try? The Catalans players looked to be well within the 10 so regardless of Briscoe's error (in fact their proximity probably led to it) it could have been chalked off.

because bentham never asked for it to be checked, he was more than happy the catalans were onside, it was no worse than both teams line speed throughout the match and confirmed by jon wells at the end that the dragons players were all onside!

| So what if Burgess is only 18? He played well in the World Club Challenge, has consistently performed well in other big games and has no glaring deficiencies in his game. If you're good enough, you're old enough. He has the talent to be the best winger in the world by the next World Cup.

[quote="rubber duckie":8f22o6ue]That would make Wigan strong favourites then. With Ratchford at FB and Patton with Cronk in the halves, I think we'll do very well without Sam.[/quote:8f22o6ue]: |

YEAH!
Lets not pick players from the most consistently successful team over the past 5 seasons! Anybody could come in and replace former Man of Steel Pat Richards so well that he isn't missed at all.

Aye, you're right. That large chunk of Leeds players must have been pivotal in getting Leeds to the lofty heights of 6th. The rest of their squad must have been terrible.

7th actually now after todays results.....with 5 of the best players in their positions in the league.
Its not been a great weekend for the Dream Team. Roby completely outclassed Clarke, Ryan Hall had a complete nightmare (whist Monaghan scored a hat-trick), Shenton got sinbinned in an otherwise completely anonymous performance, Kevin Brown looked impressive for 15 minutes then disappeared and Escare looked more than a match for Hardaker at full back.

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |

Thaler asked for the grounding to be checked a couple of times in the other match and they checked onside/offside without being asked.

With an added two points from the win tonight the Catalan Dragons would be on 31 points . Leeds Rhinos finished on 32 , so they would still be in 6th on the league table .
Apologies for spoiling your fun .

| I think he means in terms of the playoffs count. ie GF winners 1st, GF losers 2nd and so on.
ie totally scrapping the idea that the league is worth anything at all as come the playoffs everyone resets.
I'm not sure he believes it, neither do I, but it's a jibe to put out there.

| For me, it was an error for Sinfield to throw such a pass in that position on the field. I'd have said he should have taken the ball on his own to use up some time & allow the Rhinos forwards more time to get to first/2nd receiver.
Cats repaid the compliment from the league game with interest.

Yeah I didnt think they are allowed to check but markers were clearly not square(which they wernt all game) and the guy who scored was offside(which both teams were all game). I thought all that mattered was getting the right decision but it seems that is only on some incidents though.
Im not sure how the video ref can check for some things but not others. Like a ball steal would only take a couple of quick views normally to get the right decision but refs get these wrong a decent percentage of the time yet they can check for restarts which sometimes takes quite a long time. Maybe they could have a captains call option or something where the captain can question 1 decision and send it to the screen, if they are wrong they lose the option but if they are right they keep it.

Apart from getting tackled into touch by Hardaker, and creating a try for Watkins of course.
