Section 6 & 7 of the RFL Articles of Association mean they can request a member leave. If they refuse it can then be voted on.

I also though that somewhere in the Operational Rules there is a clause that states a member cannot sue the RFL.



Frankly this is ridiculous from Bradford now, I'm rapidly losing any sympathy I had for their predicament.

I have sympathy with the current board as it isn't them that got Bradford into this mess. However previous boards actions resulted in administation and points were deducted. The current board knew that when they bought the club, if they weren't happy then they shouldn't have invested. As simple as that IMO.

The only winners of this will be the lawyers and their bank balances, it certainly isn't good for the sport and in the long run I don't think it will be good for Bradford.

They're not suing them, they are appealing against a decision, which they have now taken to the next level of court since the first one (the independant sports panel) who told em where to go.

They are not allowed, for example, to sue the rfl for a subsequent loss of income owing to relegation due to the points deduction ... For example. As you say, any court who heard that case will simply say well don't play in that league then, go play with barla ...

Why the supporters why have we done!

there is a rule within the rule book which states that a club which takes legal action against the RFL forfeits its rfl membership and as such its right to play in RFL competitions.

Saying that there will be some leeway in that as to who the case is actually being brought against, who is bringing it etc.

I dont think this case will see that happen, however if we saw a case from Bradford requesting and injunction against the deduction or their relegation, or suing the RFL for loss stemming from this then we may very well do.

What if they win?

If they win surely then what they are doing is right?

Will it be Greens money he's spending, or will it be a case of using Bradford's SL funding if they're successful their in appeal and in retaining their place or just putting the club into admistration if they're not to avoid paying the legal bills.

Interesting that so far 2 other club chairmen (Koukash and Hudgell) have offered their opinion, and both, er, support Green in the action he is taking.

Koukash shouldn't be taken serious on issues like this,the guy is just a divisive character now.
I dont think Hudgell has much time for the bulls, i think he just want to know the part the RFL have played in this sorry mess

I'm guessing they see it as a way of making knock off Nigel squirm. If the outcome means Wood slings his hook I'm all for this appeal to the appeal.

Why would a successful appeal against a decision made by a panel comprising two partners from Pinsent Masons and an insolvency expert have any effect on Nigel Wood?

We could have the scenario of the Bulls being successful in there appeal get the 6 points back and win a few games at the expense of Salford. Then up steps the Doctor with his money and drags the RFL to court to appeal against the successful appeal.....farce.

Because this mess has the RFL's finger prints all over it. I'm hoping the higher up it goes the more we'll get to know about all the shady goings on at Odsal over the past three years.

I'm sure I heard on Radio Leeds the other night, Marc Green say something like this is to get six points back but reset the process.

In this sense, the process could restart again and Bulls get six points back only to lose points again down the line.
