| I can't see why he was picked for the RLWC squad in the first place. IMO, he's simply too ill disciplined for the modern international game. So, no for me.

| No he's a moron off the pitch, and average on the pitch. Penalty and knock-on machine.

| Nope, this was his last chance. He's had enough, time for someone else to be given an opportunity.

| Hock was in a very privileged position being named as an England representative, his actions were very discourteous to the coach, team mates & fans.
He can hardly use the exuberance of youth as an excuse .

| Surely it's up to Hock to prove his doubters wrong and try and get himself into contention.
Having said that, many thought that his form wasn't good enough to earn himself a place this time and then he couldn't behave properly, so it's going to be a long hard road for him to get back in.
IF he was in top form, with decent discipline then he should probably be given a go but, it does seem unlikely.

| It's in his own hands.
Just can't see his discipline being good enough to play international again.
But if he does have a great season and works in penalties etc.. There's no reason why not

| I never work in absolutes. He would have to do something pretty dire to not play for England ever again.
On the other side he would have to do something pretty special to get back into the England side.
I don't recall Hock being amazing since his return from his drug taking. He's had the odd game where he's made a busting run, but he's also had plenty of daft offloads and yellow and red cards.
You always get instant reactions like no not ever, but if he was the best at that position then you need a reason to keep him out, behaviour can be that, but he could always wear a tag to keep him out of pubs???
Lets not forget he was not drinking solo, he was just the one who could not drag his bum out of bed the next day. Some of those are model professionals apart from when they get a bit peckish on the RL pitch and the nachos are out of reach.

| If McNamara is re-signed as coach anything is possible.
The question about Hock is a good one but perhaps there's more validity in asking if Danny Brough will get a call to the England squad.
I'd prefer Brough in front of Hock but what I don't want is McNamara given a new deal. I do think I'll be disappointed though.

He was also the only one who had a viable replacement already training with the squad. Did GH's behaviour give the coach an excuse to revise his selection based on what he saw in training?

| Playing for your country should be the highest honour bestowed upon a player. Any individual who thinks that its excusable to miss any form of training/session that they are expected to attend simply doesn't deserve to be included, regardless of form. There are a dozen other players would jump at the opportunity.

Quite possible. Often sick records are used in work to get rid of the ones you don't want, were as those who are good salts get a bit more time.
