| simple alternative to playing in Australia or UK
DO BOTH!!!
England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France & Italy in high summer playing a round-robin against one another.
End of season three-test series against either Australia or New Zealand.
If RL is to work as an international game we need to ensure that by RLWC2017 there are more than three sides competing. The best way of doing that is by giving the 'minnow' sides regular games, encouraging players to commit and giving a public that actually does not give a rat's about club RL a chance to see some games they have a stake in.

That is the important thing. We had two blokes from Watford sat next to us who absolutely loved it yesterday. But to paraphrase them, London are awful and trapsing all the way up to somewhere like Warrington wouldn't be worth it.
There were so many people there like that yesterday, who loved the sport but have no association with a professional club and never will. That is what Union have got sussed, something we can learn a lot from.

| I'm not sure they never would have a care for club RL. I think one of the best things that could happen for SL would be to let London off the overseas quota & salary cap, and help them to bring in Slater, Inglis, Thurston, Cronk, Smith, SBW, Mason, Burgess, Tuilagi, Banahan etc.
A london club that was succesful and well-located would be a massive boon for SL.
Until that is feasible, regular international RL is the way to go.

They can't even afford the players they've got, how would they pay those type of players? + thankfully none of the other clubs would ever vote for this.

| I think that it makes sense that there is a 4Ns in Aus/NZL at the end of the domestic 2014 season considering it's been here this season.
It's 2015 that I think we need something over here. Apparently it will be a GB tour down under. I think getting them to come over here would be best. Really market the brand of GB, have a test at Wembley, Old Trafford/Etihad and another ground (somewhere like Villa Park). Announce it early, get a shirt out early and put reasonable prices on again etc.
Then throughout the 2015 have matches vs the home nations as a qualification exercise of sorts for the GB squad so that those who can't play for England choose the other nations and make it a bit more competitive - McIlorum playing for Ireland, Brough sticking with Scotland etc

I do like this idea, the only problem would be the lack of overseas players. Without those overseas players England would totally dominate Scotland, Ireland & Wales IMO.

| We all have our own ideas, I have mine but sadly we are not the people who make these choices, but one thing is for sure is that we hear bits here bits there, nothing official
The powers that be need to now set a proper 4 year programme in place where at least everyone who is a supporter of rugby league (let alone the wider sporting audience) knows what is happening, whether we agree with what the actual programme is not as important is the game being in a position as to where the game knows where it stands and Nations know what they have to build for both long term and short
