10 days....David Hughes has invested close to 10,000,000 of his own cash into the RFL's and SKY TV's desire to have a club in London and yet he has to force their hand to get anything done.
London Broncos, if they start 2014 in SL will do so with a 6 point deduction and could in all probability finish o that number of points 27 rounds later.
Whilst Mr Hughes has made some god awful decisions and appointments over the years, if London drop out of SL, then I would suspect that any goodwill delivered from the RLWC as a "national/international" event will be blown out of the water.....12 or possibly 13 clubs from the M62 and a token French side is not going to attract the 'revenues" that the RFL have been too busy to look into.....a sad day for the game in the UK.

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

As i understand it according to player contracts etc we are still in the 2013 season (this is why on the team sheets for England Rangi Chase is still down as a Castleford player). As London have gone into administration now, wouldn't the points be deducted from last seasons total? What's the point? Unless you are a Salford fan.

| Feck, I didn't see the article till I got home and got online. I only thought about this as another player has left the club today (on BBC website on RL pages) and I got to thinking they were struggling and may not make the start.
This is a really bad news, we need to keep them going but if they do manage to survive they are going to really struggle on the pitch next season and that too will be bad.
I also thought that Wakey may have bene going that way with the exodus of players until they signed Richard Moore and stated they could afford now to keep Kirmond. Thank the lord they have come through. On a PR note, 2 clubs going to the dogs would have looked horrific for the game as a whole.

If they go into administration they'll start next season on minus six I would guess.
When someone buys them out of admin it's going to cause a headache. Because they'll have to do two years on half the central funding divvied up between the other clubs. But if applied to 2014 will that be half of what they should get or half of what they would get including their share of Bradford's half?
If it's the later then that would mean Bradford wouldn't have been docked half as they would get a small proportion of it back in their share of London's half.
Also Bradford's half has now increased with the money they get from London. But if you recalculate the money taken from Bradford and dished out between the other clubs it changes London's sky money. Which then changes the amount taken off them and divvied up between the other clubs including Bradford! That would then in turn mean we'd have to recalculate Bradford's half and thus change London's!!!
It's mind blowing!!
Maybe we should just give it to Ken Davy and Ian Lenegan so they can swim in it like Scrouge McDuck?
Oh and before any Wakefield/Halifax fans say it. I hope the RFL bend over backwards to help them out like they did Bradford!

| 6 point deduction for going in to admin during the season, 4 point if during closed season, so it will be a 4 point deduction if the RFL are to be consistent ala Wakefield/Crusaders

| I love this bit in bold...
STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF LONDON BRONCOS
London Broncos Rugby League Club have today instructed lawyers to file a Notice of Intention to appoint Administrators over the club.
This will allow 10 woking days for the Club to work with the Rugby Football League and other parties to resolve secure the Club's future and will prevent any creditor from taking action against the club in this period.
There will be no further comment at this time.
The idiots in charge have not made a statement in months. Hardly worth making this one as nobody would have noticed if they had just packed up and slipped out the back door. As a fan of 25 years I hope this is just a legal move and that the club sort the mess out and Mackay is fired on large rocket to the Moon ... totally useless sports administrator.

Why?
In the greater scheme of things, the previous landlord has little if anything to do with the situation the club find themselves in.

| We will survive, they need us.
Good timing to get maximum exposure a couple of days before the semi finals. The PR must be coming from Barnet FC and not Gus.

| The RFL need to pull together a proper strategy for dealing with Southern England. It all seems far too disjointed.
It might even be time to tap up a RU club that needs some summer income and see if they want to launch a RL wing (hello, Bath).

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

... And even that does not work when our benefactor has no clue how to make such an arrangement work.
