Hmm let me think...?????
Poor old Koucash - What a blunder signing the awful 1 of a pair of brothers.... That would be like signing Steve Rapira instead of Sam Rapira....

To be fair, the Foran deal was done before Koukash took over. Not that Salford have a history of getting the wrong brother or anything - Ian Sinfield, Chris Morley, Matt Gardner, Darren Betts...

Not sure how you can pick Ferguson, he has missed half the season. If your going to pick Inglis he should be at Full back as that is where he has played all season. Surely you should be looking at the best players who have performed in that position.

Absolutely... And Billy Slater has been average all year - on his day, he's still great, but the majority of time this year, he's looked like he's carrying an injury and has not been the threat he once was.
If it wasn't for QLD sticking with that Melbourne 'Spine', I think both Cronk and Slater would be under serious pressure if you just looked at individual qualities. Daly Cherry-Evans is a much better all round player than Cronk nowadays (I'd say Manly have got the 2 best half backs in the world), and if it wasn't for a lack of real quality centres available to QLD, GI should replace Slater at fullback (and on this years form, Boyd would be better than Slater at fullback - but he's needed on the wing for QLD and Aus).

| Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "Wow.
This a serious question now, not just to you but to anyone who rates him highly. What makes Monaghan so good in your eyes?
He scores alot of easy tries in an excellent attacking team, but as I see it he is slow for a winger. His work rate is fairly good but only on par with the other top wingers. He is reasonably strong in the tackle but not in the same league as guys like Briscoe and Hall to name just a couple. His defence is average at best bordering on poor and he makes more than his fair share of errors. As far as I can see the only area he excels is in the air.
He is a good dependable winger who will always offer a threat due to his size. He isn't in the top 5 Superleague wingers, to suggest him for the world team is crazy.'"
Firstly, this is only my opinion, and I can understand other people's views.
It took a while for me to fully appreciate what he brought alongside the tries. But if you see his carries, they are regularly up around 15 carries and more often than not goes for over 100 meters. Without seeing the stats for Saturday, I'd be confident in saying that he wouldn't be far away from this again.
He finishes tries with distinction and when the ball is in the air their is nobody better, including King and the 'one trick pony' that was Fa'fili that were very good in the air also.
And he does the little things right, doesn't (touch wood) make errors, and doesn't get put into touch. One more thing, it's not much, but he would be the first one in to celebrate a try or console an error. Adds a lot to a team when an Aussie test player is right by your side, especially the younger players.
Like I say, it's my opinion, rightly or wrongly.

On this years form, without a doubt.
Don't get me wrong, Slater is still a great on his day, but over the course of the full season THIS year, Boyd has been the better individually - Slater benefits greatly from his relationship/understanding with Cronk and Smith, and people see him through Rose tinted glasses because of his past achievements. THIS year, he's not been at his best and IMO has probably been the third or fourth best fullback in the NRL weekly rounds.

| Ferguson may have missed half the season due to being a dunderhead, but he was clearly one of the best performing players in the comp. In his last game, coming back after 6 weeks suspension, he tore the much vaunted Roosters defence a new one all game.
If he didn't go off the rails, he'd be playing for Australia in the World Cup.

Slaters still been better than Boyd, Slater on a bad day is as good as Boyd on one of his better ones.
His support play is still the best in the world, Boyds no where near.
