Referees are like women, they make snap decisions and never reverse them.
Littlerich wrote Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.:simpsons/PDT13.gif |

| We've had a few at Leigh, Jim Crellin & Ian Lucas are 2 that spring immediately to mind

You judged all Wakey fans to have a chip on their shoulder from one poster.
I gather you have met all Wakey fans?
That was a rhetorical question BTW.

Actually I didn't. I based it on the combined output of the Wakey forum members on RLFans. Although I agree that's not the same as all Wakey fans, so I'll rephrase...
Are there any Wakey fans who post on here that don't have a chip on both shoulders?

In light of the question asked Agar fits that description more than adequately, took a half decent side that had finished 5th the season before and on the back of the previous coach effectively got us to Wembley in 2008 before his tactical nous dragged us down.
that 2008 season ended us being 2nd from bottom, 2009, 3rd from bottom though we got into the play-offs in 2010 & 11 we didn't win a play-off game, we also won 2 cc games in 3 years (which were against championship sides)
Our performances compared to our potential was rank and that's being polite, Agar made no attempt at bringing through the youth which gentle has improved upon in leaps & bounds..
I rest my case

| Rob Powell to be fair took over McDermotts poor squad and didnt improve it. With Mac at least it was 5 drives and a kick, then balls the defence up, with Powell it was throw it wide until you have no one to pass to, which was usually 2 passes later and then balls the defence up!
With Tony Rea its play for 40 then balls the defence up followed by some scientific rhetoric on why it was ballsed up!

Although he is never going to be mistaken as the next Wayne Bennett, Agar is far from Hull's worst ever coach - let alone RL's. Yes he had limitations but until we know how much his hands were tied by the board then to label him the worst is most unfair. Furthermore he has shown at Wakey that he has some ability. The worst Hull coach was undoubtedly Len Casey - utterly clueless and what more he was exactly the same in his other short and dismal coaching tenures elsewhere.

Definitely agree with that, Anderson overall only had a 25% win percentage, and Plange only a few percent higher.
He thought signing players on trial and putting them straight into SL was a good idea.

Sadly RL and I parted company for a few years so I wasn't really into the game when LC was at Hull, though I've read what a tool he was the squad we had compared to the rest of the league was much lesser than the 2008-11 squad comparatively. Agar had the resources/income (we made profits for 5 years runnng!) and spent full cap AFAIK but with us finishing 2nd and 3rd from bottom with no CC win to speak of in 3 years Agar took a decent side and 'coached' us into a boring, tactically niave, passionless load of poop. No man management skills, no balls to drop players, no idea on bringing through the kids..utterly utterly clueless.
That he'd been a no.2 for a while and seems a nice guy just made things worse.
With Casey you kind of expected it to be pants because he was a one dimensional thug/tool on the pitch, who thought he'd be a good coach needed psychiatric help to be fair...
