You do realise that the Prime Ministers XIII are selected from players from teams not in the finals of the NRL?
That narrows down the Stars somewhat, if it was SL who would be in the England Team?
The NRL has a good spread of stars seeded amongst all of the Clubs.
ps
Trent Barrett was a player that was considered to have been selected as a "favourite" rather than on ability, he was NEVER the best player in his position.

| Quote: Buggo "That's enough for me.
You have no idea, that is obvious.
I could respond and embarrass you but its not worth it.
Was Hayne dropped for a bad game in SOO? He was picked for games 2 and 3.
You do realise that SOO and Test teams more often than not have Fullbacks on the Wings (at least one wing)
I think there was 3 or 4 Fullbacks in the recent Oz side to play the Kiwis?
If Brett Stewart is so good why has he not been selected on the Wing for Oz? (one game 2007)
What is your assessment of the Prime Ministers selection squad?
What is it about and why are players selected?
Are they random players out of a hat?'"
Hayne wasn't picked for game 1 because his form was very average and they considered Josh Dugan a better option who subsequently was injured. I know the point your trying to make but let's face it the only reason Boyd, and Hayne play on the wings for state and country is due to Slater and Stewart being preferred and seen as better options.
The following in the prime minsters squad are nowhere near good enough to represent the Kangaroo's its a gimmick of a game with agining veternas like Burt and young up and comers like Aaron Woods to play in. The list bellow of players in that squad just proves it's not a serious game and has a lot of average players.

| I think Wakefield should be applauded for who they are building the club. A few others should take note.

| LOL how do you know who was paid and wasn't. At a fans evening when he took over, he said he'd paid some off because it was the right thing to do and other businesses got paid because the club are still doing business with them.

| Seems to have gone slightly off-topic, I think Poore is a good signing and wish we had signed him (though obviously much will depend on how he settles in the UK).
On the issue of administration, I do think it's wrong that clubs can fail to pay their liabilities (affecting the lives of their employees and causing unemployment), spend beyond their means and simply continue under a different guise. It almost gives permission for clubs to buy success on credit they cannot afford. However, until the RFL are brave enough to do what the NRL did to Melbourne some clubs will risk it.

| The previous owners of Wakefield Trinity were guilty of running the club poorly but they did try to avoid Administration. They paid hundreds of thousands to HMRC just a few weeks before appointing the Administrator, had they intended to wipe out their debts this way they would not have paid that money.
What didn't happen was that they just went bust and "[isimply continued under a different guise[/i". The old regime were reluctantly removed and a COMPLETELY NEW owner took over, Andrew Glover was not responsible for the debts incurred by the old owners but in an effort to help businesses that were facing real harm from those debts he paid many of them off. I know that this cost him hundreds of thousands of pounds he was not obliged in any way to pay and he should be applauded for that.
I and my brother were both victims of Wakefields first administration after the Pearman saga so I know what it's like to be tens of thousands out of pocket and lose your job so my sympathies go to anyone in the same situation.
Back on topic, Justin Poore could potentially be a fantastic signing.

From what i can understand of this post; which isn't much , you know little of the actual facts.
You are clearly an uneducated twerp unable to think for him/her self and are either blindly following what you have been told by "someone in the know", are a bitter fan of a local rival (if this is the case i'd keep your powder dry) or have been able to piece together this shambles by yourself with what limited resources you are able.

Cas fan in ill informed rant at someone congratulating a local rival.
