Yes, we've beaten them twice at Wembley in the last 3 years, but that was in our house; we're playing next week in Leeds' domain.
I think the Rhino's will still be favourites, and I prefer us to be the underdogs, makes us perform better!'"
Bookies favourites, more consistent this year beat us at wembley.

You have missed out what could be an important fact here: they have won 4 out of 5 against Saints. But Saints aren't there now. They've just had the wood over us in the GF, as we did over Bradford in finals and you in, well, everything! In addition, Leeds won against Wigan on a penalty. You outplayed us in every department.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if you are the favourites.

| Sinfield was superb on Friday night at pinning Wigan back. He will have to be equally as superb next week.
If Leeds can get ahead and then defend as strongly and passionately as they did on Friday then there's no reason why they can't get the win.

Sinfield did do well on Friday BUT as the cup final showed, if you pin him back then Leeds are very few on kicking options. This allowed Hogson and the wingers to basically work out where the kicks were going before they were even sent. Maguire being back will help but a full strength Wolves side has Briers, Myler, Hodgson and Higham/Monaghan as options so hopefully Leeds will spend more time in reverse than going forward.

I think they'll have learnt from that and McGuire and Burrow will take more responsibility than they did at Wembley.

Well Maguire obviously had a reason for being absent at Wembley. All Burrow did all afternoon was go sideways and not stand square at the PTB. I still think that (HOPEFULLY) the game will be won by Warrington greater number of kicking options.

I think you're reading too much into that. The reason Leeds didn't get good kicks away in the Cup Final was because Warrington's forwards were dominant. Which is also why Burrow spent his time running sideways because Leeds forwards had made little to no impact on the Wire defensive line and so there were no holes for him to run at.
As with the vast vast majority of RL games it'll be won in the forwards.

Don't count your chickens before etc etc. Do you not remember the Cup Final and the contentious " No Try" moment which turned it in your favour. This could well go the other way.
Having said that, I wish you well. Another name of the SL trophy would be good. The same monotonous domination by the same teams is getting boring.

The present format has only been with us since the advent of Superleague, 18 years? Pre SL it was the premiership play-off which we won in 1988 and before that in the mid 70s. So we haven't won the play off comp in 24 years to be correct.
If you mean the league then its 12 months since we last won it.

No. I, and everyone else mean the competition that determines the champions each season. Which Wire haven't won since the 50's. The league leaders have only been declared champions in 33 seasons of Rugby League. The rest of the time the champions have been decided by the play offs. The Premiership did not decide the champions, the current SL playoffs do.

Also your own club website says Warrington last won the Championship in 1954/55.

Correct. Why the LLS debate continues astounds me.

Leeds 7/4, Warrington 8/15, so pretty clear favourites.
You are right though, Leeds seem to know how to win big games and you will have to be on your mettle to beat them.
Should be a cracker !

| As much as I want Warrington to put Leeds to the sword I think Leeds will be going all out to prove that winning the final from 5th wasn't a one-off or a fluke. Warrington have to come out and play like they can, if they get dragged into an arm wrestle Leeds will take the spoils.
