Widdop, Reed, Heighington all notably around there too. Could have likes of Hill and Larne Patrick; Josh Jones, Daryl Clark, Liam Watts, Joe Westerman, Scott Taylor, Yeaman, McIlorum, Danny Houghton, Tickle, Luke George, Luke Robinson, Kieran Dixon, Dan Sarginson and Craig Huby all around and knocking on the door too.
I think it's time to stop using the tried and tested likes of Wilkin, JJB, Morley and so forth.

| Chris Riley over Tom Briscoe
There are 3 English wingers who are a cut above the rest and that is Briscoe, Hall and Charnley. If I were to pick the two, it would be Briscoe and Hall. Charnley is a top winger but plays in easily the best team in the league and has many walk in tries. Like I said he's very good but not as good as the other two.
Tomkins
Hall
Reed
Atkins
Briscoe
Widdop
Brough
Graham
Roby
S. Burgess
Ellis
Westwood
O'Loughlin
Is my 13, squad members
Houghton

Carvell
Ratchford
No doubt I've missed others.

I'd throw Chris Green into that dark horse bracket too, maybe not next year but certainly in the future. Peter Gentle thinks very highly of him and he knows a thing or two about what makes an international player.

| This is the frustrating thing, we have some top quality players and i genuinely believe we have a squad capable of winning the WC. A forward pack of Graham Roby Burgess Hock & Westwood is frightening! Our back line is also looking exciting, Briscoe, Broughton, Charnley, Hall, Tomkins, Watkins.
The problem we've got is Mcnamara keeps picking players who have proved time & again they aren't good enough at international level, yet still keep getting picked because of what they have achieved in the past AT CLUB LEVEL.
Mcnamara has to forget the likes of Mcguire, Sinfield,, JJB & Wilkin. Their achievements at club level has been excellent. But they have never done it at international, what makes him think they are going to do it at 30+. They're not good enough. I would rather have a John Bateman or Stevie Ward than Wilkin or JJB.

For once, I do actually think we have decent strength in depth apart from full back and the halves. Lomax hasn't kicked on to be the international 7 everyone was hoping, Chase could fit in there but his off the cuff style nullifies Tomkins' threat from the back IMO. Sinfield is never an international 6 (although McNamara will pick him there). Players like Myler and Smith need to improve and become more consistent and rounded to be considered.

We need experience in the side but you could argue that Graham Roby and Burgess provide that now having been there for a number of years.
