I've said for ages that she'd be a better bet than Eddie to front a revamped Sky team - her breathless enthusiasm for the game is very refreshing and she's a likeable character. With a knowledgable former player alongside her (Carney would be a good bet) it would be a massive improvement over the hackneyed and well past it's sell by date line-up of Eddie and bleedin' Stevo, who drag the game down and ruin the Sky coverage.

Eddie's fine. It's Stevo who drags the whole thing down with his unique line in malapropisms and tired Stevoisms, and burning desire to stoke up controversy.

I know this is hardly a new question but when are sky going to change their commentary team?

They're bringing in fresh blood for 2013. New starlet Ray French will be recruited to replace Stevo. Peter Fox and Peter Roe have also signed for 2013. Maurice Bamford - as yet unconfirmed - watch this space.

Really? She did a piece in one of the grand final programs stating she was actually quite fond of the game.

Carney and Balding in the studio would be great. Think the priority should be sprucing up the in game commentary though and no potential replacements have stood out so far IMO.

Much better - isn't it amazing how much a good shoeing can brighten up your day

She's such a good sports presenter. She shows such enthusiasm for the sports that she is introducing and her knowledge of the sports is great. She will be a sad loss if true.
