I think he knows what to call his own team if we're being honest...

Nail on head. Man for man Warrington are a far better team than Wigan and they proved it again today.

| Not once did O'Loughlin bother making a legal tackle. Every single one ended up around the neck.
And the sooner someone cracks the drug-cheat walking skull, the better.
Wires tactics were spot on tonight - if it had a beige shirt on, knock the e out of it. Tomkins was ordinary and Charnley well and truly wrapped up.

| Quote: Cronus "Wigan's knock-ons, forward passes and other unforced errors were more than enough to help Wire win.
Warrington were superb but Wigan denied themselves too much possession to ever be in the game. That, and Warrington's brilliant rushing defence.
No question who was the better team, but Wigan were very, very poor even without taking Warrington into account.'"
When we played Wigan at the DW we made a huge amount of errors, and wigan had 74% possession to us having around the 60% mark today, we won both, so i dont really agree with that. Whenever we play Wigan we seem to bully them up the middle and that was clearly evident again today. Our defence and line speed in this last week has been nothing short of excellent and Wigan or Saints could not match that. I think what today has proven is that on their day Warrington are the best team in SL at the moment. (only my opinion of course) And long may it continue!

Fine, but that game is irrelevant, we're talking about today's game. If you can't see that Wigan's unforced mistakes played a big part in denying themselves possession, you don't understand RL. You won't win games if you keep turning the ball over, especially in dangerous territory, and especially against a side like Warrington.
Warrington were the better side by some margin, that's undeniable, but but part of them being the better side was making less mistakes than Wigan. On top of that their defence was fearsome and consistent, and they took their opportunities where Wigan didn't. Smith has worked wonders with their defensive structure.
Warrington were superb, everyone can see that. Wire fans don't need to push the issue and pretend they beat a flawless Wigan side, because Wigan were extremely poor.

I wonder if one of the HKR players will try it in 3 weeks time? Haha I doubt it, they can't even crack a fart out.

| Tomkins showed his Man of Steel credentials again. Did he even get tackled over the 80 minutes?

| In 3 seasons i cant ever remember tomkins having a good game against warrington in the league.
to be fair he has been on the losing side in every game.
He is great against the lesser teams though...

| Again wigan have shown that they simply dont like it up 'em. leeds did it in the cup and warrington did it today, smash them about, deny them space, close down tomklns. do this for the first five minutes and they all lose their heads, descend into constant arm flapping and (audible) swearing/screaming at the ref, crying at each other (finch is the master) and aiming for the head every chance they get.
it was embarrasing to watch that customary losing of the plot last night, like it was when leeds got stuck into them in the cup. They may be a pro team, but they are a long way from acting like a pro team when the going gets tough.
Wigan are like the school bully, its all fine when they have it easy beating on smaller kids, but when a bigger kid comes along and lamps them they fill their pants.
