| Really do not get what everyone's problem is with a quick turn-around. No different to playing on Sunday, then playing again the following Friday. Every team has to do it on a number of occasions throughout the season.

| The Monday/Saturday turn around is no different than the Sunday/Friday fixtures which Warrington play quite often during the season.

.......its the small things!'"
"gone for the 40/20"
no he hasn't, Eddie

| It's not the validity of Briers comment about short turnaround, my question is ' How come Eddy ( and I'm a fan of his) can say about a SL player, " let's have enough of that nonsense from Lee Briers" . Stick to commentating Eddy, dont tell a player he's talking nonsense when he comments on a 4 day lay off compared to a 7 day layoff for Wigan. Its very relevant to hear a players opinion not a guys's who doesn't even pay to get in !

| Eddie was technically correct (although he was an a###hole they way he said it---think he was just a bit miffed!) that Saturday is 5 days after Monday but as has SR pointed out, Briers was talking about "days off". I think his comments were along the lines of "we have 4 days then Wigan"...ie Tue/Wed/Thur/Fri. I think the extra days for Wigan may come into Saturdays game if its tight with 15 to go...............but hopefully Wire will be 20+ points up by then

| Hemmings has been Briers' main cheerleader for ages, he basically creams himself over almost everything Lee does.
One off the cuff remark to placate his paymasters does not mean that Hemmings has got a new bumchum. He just knows who pays his wages. He's not as daft as his wig suggests.

True - but Hemmings also said that the turnaround from Monday to Saturday is the same as the turnaround from Sunday to Friday. He's correct of course; but the important bit is that Wigan have 2 days extra rest. That's the point Briers was trying to make, as mijej says, but Briers is from St Helens so couldn't manage it.
Personally I thought it was a stupid thing to say from Briers - sounds like he's getting his excuses in early, is very negative, and I doubt Smith was pleased with him. Equally, Hemmings was a Ryan McGoldrick for taking him on quasi -aggressively. He could have made the point playfully but came out all defensive.
Storm in a tea cup.
