Boring and unimpressive, workmanlike against poor opposition.

We could hope.

Really don't understand Saints signing him, on the back of him being a turn style. Judging by last night, Saints could concede points next season if they have Foster ,Turner and Manu on the same side.

Think its sad that the game was so badly affected by injuries. Particularly as Wigan did such a great job of getting a big crowd in. I doubt we'd have won even with our first choice line-up out, but we'd have at least given Wigan a game.

Having said that its hard to get away from the fact that Gentle got almost everything wrong tactically last night and some of the Hull defence was shocking.

Hard to get our defence right when we yet again had to shuffle the team around again. I don't think we have played the same half-back combination for 3 games in a row this season for example. I agree we weren't good last night, but hard for Gentle to do much tactically, we didn't have the forwards to play you up the middle, nor the backs/halves to try and play you out wide!

Have to agree,Manu and Whiting where nowhere near match fit,but as you say even with a full strength team I still can`t see us having beaten Wigan. They are a class side who have stuffed other teams as well as us.My only consolation is our players didn`t chuck the towel in.

Pray tell what the correct tactics would have been with the players we had at our disposal, bearing in mind you're using hindsight as well to aid you here.

With only 7 of our starting 17 playing (1 who was playing out of position, 1 who's only played 1 game in 3 months and 1 who got injured in the first quarter of the game) we were always going to struggle massively. Add to that not having 2 subs places for almost the entire second half, I don't think the world's best tactician could have done anything in that game to stop Wigan.

That was a pretty poor spectacle for a Sky match.

Why so many injuries at Hull? Bad luck (again) or do they have a problem with fitness & conditioning?

Don't know, AP's going to look at it.

We should be playing better than we are though.

They annoyed the gypsies who used to live under the stands at the Boulevard and are now cursed forever more!

Rumour has it the physio we signed in the off season didn't step up to the plate and has messed some injuries up. They was a statement on the Hull website saying she is to leave at the end of the season but the current vibe I get is she is no longer involved at first team level.

We've had different physios and conditioners over recent years and it's the same injury curse most seasons!

It's funny because it's offensive.
