Spectators through the turnstiles is the acid test regarding any concept. I've always thought there's not much mileage in the Exiles concept and the interest would plummet pretty quickly. There will be more atmoshere in your local graveyard than at the next Exiles game at Huddersfield. The only pleasure I took from last nights game was Ratboy being levelled by Meli.

Part of the problem with atmosphere (or the lack of it) is that the exiles fans are only small in number and tend to be disaffected fans of SL teams whose players have been ignored and they are still happy with an England victory ?

i think it would have to be based on where you were raised and doesnt matter as much where you were born.

Personally I still think England V the previous years super league champions would also be interesting and ensure a big crowd.

yeah i made a mistake forgot about wilkin and broughton but i thought patrick is from yorkshire but any way the thing is you get the whole idea about the yorkshire vs lancashire.

It should be a mid season yorkshire vs lancashire 3 series like the state of origin.
Then at the end of the year should have a warm up match against the exiles, alternating the venue between yorkshire and lancashire. then it goes into the next big tournament.

No such thing. As much as I love my kids as neither of them were born in Yorkshire they simply don't qualify. I feel sorry for them and they will have to live with that handicap their entire lives, but them's the rules.

Sorry but we are past Lancs V Yorks. There is now lots of faces from outside these counties. It works in Oz because the two states are rivals at everything.

People wanted the rest of the world team they have got it. Now because of a poor game and with a weak team its pull it and lets go back 20 years to a concept that didnt work then.
