As my email from the Etihad Stadium started this confusion I will now reply to them attaching the links to the statements on the Rhino's and Bull's web site which contradict the information provided to me.
I'll let you all know the reply.

This could only happen on RL Fans. As soon as I read the first post it was obvious that the poster had got the standard generic response. What's wrong now? Don't you trust the press releases put out by the Rhino's and the Bulls? Any excuse whatsoever from some people to try to put down the RFL or SL.

Wish I was as aware as you obviously are. Being a Hull FC fan I don't go on the Rhino's or Bull's sites so I had not seen the link. I spelled out my questions quite clearly in my email to the Etihad Stadium and unlike my email to the RFL received a reply answering my questions specifically which I obviously believed. Maybe I should doubt everything I'm advised from official channels and be as amazing as you obviously are.

Where are the RFL in terms of sorting the confusion out? What's the Magic website say?

There is no confusion,except for the people looking for it - the RFL really can't make it much more simple.

Thank you for your email and highlighting this website.
Please allow me to clarify, Food and drink is not allowed to be taken into the stadium unless it is for medical reasons. Drinking however will be allowed in the stands, and also supporters will get a wristband or stamp allowing them to re-enter the stadium if they choose to leave to smoke or to skip a game.
I apologise for any confusion this may have caused.

That rule about standing does it apply in unreserved seating

I just hope Trawlerman's misinformation hasn't put off any prospective fans, although I fear it has since I've already heard these rumours started on another website.

Bit disappointing about the food rules, will have to talk to our friendly GP ASAP for a letter for the older child.

There has to be a pass system as the fanzone & (non-rugby) entertainment is in city square.

The only thing the website doesn't make clear is regards city square. Is that Manchester (city square ) which is about 30mins walk towards the city centre?
Or is it (Manchester City) square which would be (hopefully)in the grounds of the Etihad stadium complex?
