Must have put 156 people off from attending the Leeds V Warrington game last night then? Assuming an average spend (including matchday programme, burger, drink in some cases, etc) of around £20 each, that's a loss of £3,120 in revenue on the corresponding fixture last year.

Its important that we know £3,120 is out of a turnover of roughly £12m or a 0.026% of it. In other words negligible considering the importance we are placing on context.
That is compared to a 1674 increase on the home fixture against HKR from last season, which using your formula results in an increase of £33480 in revenue.
Resulting in a net increase in revenue over Leeds 2 home SL fixtures so far of £30360. Which as a percentage of their overall turnover of roughly £12m is an increase of 0.253% nearly ten times more than the loss of revenue against Warrington.
Just to put your figures in to context.

Leeds V Warrington fixtures in 2011 and 2012 were both like-for-like Friday night fixtures for comparison purposes and the attendance this year was lower.
Leeds V Hull KR in 2011 had an unusually awkward kick off time on a Sunday at 6pm which accounted for the lower attendance.
Context is everything but thanks for your spurious contribution nonetheless.

This would be the like for like comparison between one game played as the 2nd of the season in early march and another played at the end of may at the beginning of a bank holiday weekend would it?

| What a borefest.
We can't compare because the contrasting ties weren't played at the exact same time in corresponding years and the weather may have been different and some people who went last year may have died now and some little babies may have been born since who attended this year and so and so forth . . Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Listen to yourselves. Leave RLFANS and come back in 24 hrs and read this crap and then give your heads a shake.

I bet there won't be far off. We've sold 10,000+ season tickets and add a couple of thousand from Leeds and we won't be too far off.

| I see teams like Warrington, Hull FC, Wigan and co had a boost moving in to their new grounds and since then have built even higher, for the knocker, do we disregard this?
Sorry, but the troll is an a grade moron.

| There were 2,381 in attendance today at the London V Castleford fixture. This compares with the 4,128 who attended the same fixture last year.

rlThere weren't shedloads of free tickets given away this year.rl
There were probably more paying punters there this afternoon than last season.

I bet there is - and a few more on top of that. We normally get a good crowd for Leeds games.

| I agree, I reckon Saints will get a good 16k+. Leeds are a top attraction from a RL POV, they generally have a decent away following, it's also easier/100 miles closer round trip for Leeds based fans to get to Saints than for Hull. Given our recent form fans might not have wanted to spend 6+ hours on a road work congested M62 on a Friday night either. That they did travel in decent numbers is a testament to them and they were richly rewarded(get inicon_biggrin.gif )
As for attendances in general I think it is hard even to compare a whole season with another, there are far too many variables involved to be able to make direct comparisons.
As an example just look at the season ticket prices for Hudds & Bradford over the last couple of years, that skews the attendances massively.
