| Westwood should be, no real difference to what Chris Bridge did, maybe its a tactic being coached at Wire, would be disappointed if so, they really dont need it, I expect it is just coincidence.
Blythe however would be the first player ever up before the DC for slowing the tackle down.

But the charge will be for "tackling Brent Webb" not slowing the tackle down.

| Feebleweasel's done a cracking job in this thread.
If Leeds fans really think Westwood threw the elbow or indeed did anything untoward in that tackle, then they really are thicker and more one-eyed than I thought.

If you have watched this game on Skysports and honestly do not see him throwing the elbow in then i recommend you getting your eyes tested.
You can clearly see him throwing the elbow in it is as obvious as they come.

I'm sorry but that is total bull, either you are trolling or blind. You can clearly see in the replays Westwood's elbow basically does into Webb's mouth, casing him to swing out. It was also clear it's no accident as it lingers from several seconds. I'm not disagreeing that Webb is niggly, cocky, and at times an @rse, but what he did last night was no different to what many others players would react in that situation.

| Westwood grabbed Webb around the mouth quite blatantly when effecting the tackle. Then the elbow/forearm when down on his face. I'd say the forearm wasn't deliberate but was caused by him grabbing him round the face so the first offence was Westwood's.
Webb's worst moment was the grapple tackle on Morley right near his own line. The tackle was already being completed, Morley gets himself up and Webb just grabs him round the neck and starts pulling him back. It was just madness. It was always going to be a penalty and it wasn't over enthusiasm in a tackle or anything like that, just someone seeing a vulnerable player and deciding he'll try to rip his head off.
From what I've seen of Webb so far I can't understand why Leeds persist with him because he seems well past his best. Surely Hardaker would be a better option at fullback, or someone like BJB or Lee Smith?

| Webb has 'big man' syndrome....he should concentrate on his game more....not how he's going to react the next time somebody has the nerve to tackle him.

I thought there was intent there, but he missed, and decided to lean on Webb's head instead. I also thought that Westwood had been hunting Webb out for a while, after Webb's blatant grapple tackle on him earlier (which, if spotted and penalised, could have defused the situation). Westwood went looking for him immediately after that, but had to wait to get his retaliation in.

| Webb's poor discipline and tendency to hit too high in the tackle have always been irritating for Leeds fans. I doubt he's going to change anything at this stage of his career though.
Westwood was deliberately niggling Webb in a Bailey-esque manner. Luckily for him it paid off that time. What are the odds that a tackle involving Webb and Westwood doesn't end up in a penalty being awarded one way or another?

Don't be stupid. You are obviously ignoring the smack in the mouth that Webb gave Westwood earlier in the game. Webb has a very nasty habit of making straight tackles and made a couple last night. If you think that the Chris Bridge thing from last week is being coached, then you really are being stupid.
