| Got mine a couple of weeks ago. After the positivity surrounding recent performances I would be amazed if it doesnt sell out.

As stated on the previous thread about this, the majority of empty seats were ones reserved by the RFL for sponsors who didn't bother to turn up.

Well, it does hold 14,000, was on live terrestrial tv and was a foregone cinclusion, so I think 12,000+ was a great crowd.

It was around 10,400 not 12,000+. Anything less then a total sell out was not great. Anyway thats in the past, hoping this sells out very quick. Is the second tier deffinately not being opened?

| Just got 6 together in the east stand but took ages going through all the blocks to find them.
It would seem pretty close to being full already and if they dint do something to get that top tier opened they're dafter then I first feared.

If the 32,000 or so all sells out fairly early then they have to open the top tier. There is absolutely no point in booking a 40,000 seater stadium if you have no intention of opening a tier if it is needed and thus reducing it to 32,000. We sold out all of Elland Road in 2004 when we were battered by Australia and, especially after the last 2 performances and positivity around this current England team, there is no reason why it cant be done again. It really is simple, if we sell out 32,000 then open it, if we dont then dont.

| I don't think Leeds United have a valid safety certificate for the top tier, as the expense of getting it and opening the section would not be worthwhile for them over the course of the season, it wasn't open when they played Man Utd in the cup the other week.

Can't find 4 together. Which block did you find yours in?

Do you? If you do then please share them.
It was opened as recently as January of this year so I really cant see how it is that big a deal and I am sure that if we could sell it out then another 8,000 paying fans would easily cover that and more. It is quite simple though if, for whatever reason, then we cannot open the top tier and in effect only have a 32,000 seater stadium then the final should be played elsewhere from now on. England are on a roll and there is a real buzz around the national team that I havent seen for along time, not to have the opportunity to exploit that would be criminal.

Drove past it on the 621 last week and the East Stand is still shrouded in construction covers which I presume is related to this redevelopment:

Would have thought it should be completed by now given they were talking about it in March. It appears Caddick is doing the work so I'm sure it wouldn't be over-running and is of the highest quality

| If they are doing the top tier up theres nothing we can do about it. elland road is the only ground available really. man city have said they dont want any other sports on the ground and i dont reckon man utd would let rugby play on their ground in mid november.
maybe everton would have been an option as theyre skint. nowhere else big ebnough

I just hope he's over-charging them for it!
I didn't even realise it was being re-developed, I just thought they were leaving it closed as they have done for most of the last few seasons.

| Hillsborough capacity is just shy of 40k (slightly bigger than elland road), I bet Milan Mandaric wouldn't say no to extra cash.
