I don't mind Stevo and Eddie but it seems a bit theatrical and comic.
It always feels that they are trying to talk up the game into something that is not really happening on the screen.
The part where they attempt to educate the audience on the rules of the game makes you feel that they are commenting on some obscure sport that the people watching have no clue about.

Time for a change, the game has moved on but the commentary is keeping the game in the eighties.
In Australia Rex Mossop was fantastic in his era as was Ron Casey but their time moved on and they bowed out for new talent that understood the modern game better and had played at the highest level in more recent times.
Time moves on and the game moves with it as should the commentators.
