bradford had announced sammut before this dispensation was announced and had a quota spot to accomodate him. still unclear whether sammut will qualify for the exemption as he'd left crusader before it was announced albeit only by by a few hours. logically it should apply to all crusaders players under contract for next year at time they decided to withdraw their application which would include sammut.

Logic and the RFL don't exactly go hand in hand.

What about the young players and their homegrown rulings? Do you disagree with that aspect aswell.

I would even take the homegrown ruling, make a precedent and apply it to any club relegated from SL

I don't agree with the ruling at all, by all means help them out by helping to pay them what they are owed up to the end of this season, maybe even exempt them for a season, but to give them onger is unnecessary no matter how much they have been messed about. Mark Bryant has also said that he had a team sorted out a few weeks ago so it will be interesting to see how they act on that case.

I'd be very surprised if Crusaders even take to the field on Sunday, given what has happened with payments. Wrexham have cancelled a friendly tonight due to 'internal issues', so you have to question how both clubs can finance further games.

Its not an exemption per se, its for a season or two, for most players long enough to sort out their current contractual problems

apparently bradford have asked RFL for clarification of sammuts quota status. Would be just our luck to be told he counts on quota, despite us doing it right way and releasing a quota player to sign him, and then rest of SL pick up the players who dont count and end up with extra quota players.

Whilst it is probably right, and probably fair for the players to get this dispensation, it is still disappointing and still a failure for Clubs to need it.
