Wakefield were in administration at the start of the season and were hours away from not existing only to be bailed out at the last minute. There is another, bigger, super league club in Wakefield and they are very close to Leeds. The stadium is worse than most in the championship and on the field they are the worst team in the competition (they will finish bottom although they are second bottom at the moment)

Wakefield are certain to miss out. The second team to miss out is harder to call as Halifax have a good bid. Harlequins and Crusaders are weak clubs but are doing a great job expanding the game. Salford offer very little and I think could be in danger of losing their place. Its impossible to call without seeing all the clubs bids in detail.

Crusaders have also been in administration (and were given their license based on the fact that they were based in South Wales, but are now less than an hour from the 'heartland'). Are Castleford a bigger club? They have been relegated from Super League twice in recent years whilst Wakefield have never been relegated from Super League. Wakefield may be close to Leeds, but Leeds is equally close to Wakefield and not too far from Bradford, do you think they should be at risk too? As for our ground, it's of the same standard as Castleford's, whereas we have the option of playing at Oakwell until Newmarket is ready, similar to what St Helens have done this year at Widnes. We are not the worst team in Super League, as the table clearly shows we are 4 points clear of Crusaders and have won more games than Harlequins. Not sure how you can be so certain that we WILL finish bottom, as Crusaders will have to win 2 of their remaining 5 games (despite only winning 4 of the previous 22), but even if that were to happen, we have also finished 5th within the current franchise period. The fact is we offer more than Crusaders, Quins and Halifax, and are are at least level with Castleford and possibly Salford.
