And any expansion of SL w1ould still mean clubs having to reduce the amount they get from SKY.
So, overall, I'm a bit neutral on this news. There is still the Challenge Cup and Internationals to sell - let's hope the RFL can manage to get good deals on them that might help boost the salary cap a bit. Then there is the Championships - those clubs also need more support.'"

I have heard and read the £1.2m figure in the past and is also mentioned today by the independent

Difference with this deal is that international matches aren't included. Whereas before the deals were for SL & international. So hopefullt the RFL can get a good deal there and makes a little more money.
It's a good deal compared to other sports.

Well lets hope the clubs , just say no to it
Personally I'd be happier with a highlights package featuring 1 game from each division [ if we have 2 ] complete with a round up of results and a preview of the weekends up coming matches instead , it would provide some coverage , without affecting attendances and therefore finances of clubs
And probably be a whole lot cheaper to produce |

Looking at some of the earlier posts, its almost as if people don't want the Championships to become a reputable competition in its own right. |
