It's where you attempt to break a player's leg by trapping their legs with your own as you are tackling them.

Sometimes you get in that position as it's the only way you can hold on to the ball carrier, but it's not a good one!
Rob Parker of Bradford and Warrington used to use a lot of them, don't think he was dirty but that was his technique. I saw Leeds get Lima with a bit of one tonight but he stayed on his feet so no harm done.
