Whoa nick I can't believe you said that.
I know you like both games of rugby so why are you saying this.
By the way I hope your statement comes true.

Nothing wrong with the 2 Rugby codes we have now. After all, fatties need to be able to say they are pro sportsmen too you know just like those bean sprouts from down south and their horrible abomination
But has anyone got coverage

I do love both games ........ and I enjoy different aspects of each code.
RU is clearly the 3rd football code in Australia, and rather than accept this, or try to market the game better, the ARU keep trying to persuade the rest of the rugby world to change the rules of the game to attract more fans. Most of their "ideas" for changes, appear to be about losing the unique aspects of the game, and trying to mimic RL. Instead of being a great game in its own right the Aussies want to make it similar, but not as good as, RL.
The best analogy I can think of is ......... imagine how you'd feel if the Catalan Dragons were always moaning about the fact that RU is more popular in France; and in order to improve attendances and tv viewers, they tried to persuade the NRL and RFL to change the rules, to alienate the committed fans in UK, NZ and Aus, just to get more French fans.

| Except with the ARU its true .
RU is a complicated game and not to everyone's taste . In NZ, Southern England, the Celtic nations, France, Argentina and SA it is the more popular code of rugby.
In Australia, PNG and northern England, RL is the more popular game.
Rather than accept this, the ARL try to undermine the popularity of the game in its stronghold, just because they're coming off worse than RL and Aussie Rules in Australia.
The sooner Australian RU dies , the better it will be for boith the NRL, and, RU in the rest of the world.

You wish
I can't talk for the Southern Hemisphere, but if RU died in Australia it would certainly benefit the game in the Northern Hemisphere ................ the Experimental Laws which were trialled, in order to appease the Aussies, only served to alienate many European fans. The Australians continue to want to devalue and depower the scrum, because they're all a bunch of wimps. They want to turn the sport into a glorified game of tag rugby.

Nah, union wont die in Australia, not while its has ppl like this to defend it"My view is that's it's (union) too strong. We see union as an international game and I think the gentlemanly way that it's played, off the field, is in pretty stark contrast to some of the league antics. I think union is too well established to consider league," Hauser says.
'"
The fella in the quote is the Headmaster of an Australian Public School. Union players dont misbehave apparently.

fair enough, but like ginger step kids, someone's gotta love ’em. How awful if we took someone else's toys away.
Kabbadi. I remember when they started showing that on Channel 4. Actually a good game to be involved in, though not the greatest of spectator sports.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

like watching paint dry IMO - even worse than Synchronised Swimming or 'underwater flower arranging' as the great Des Lynham called it.
