Yes that's pretty much how it will probably go. Three weeks ago Sky renewed their broadcast deal for the Football League and because there were no other bidders they reduced the money on offer by 25% (from £264m to £195m) and also demanded an extra 33% of output (from 75 games per season to 100). I would not be at all surprised if the same happens with our deal.

True and because of this I reckon we will receive less money than the current deal.

It's a pity that we can't market the game properly and other backers may come into the bidding rights.

This is where the split in the game exposes our weakness in negotiation, Sky losing 50,000 subscribers overnight would make them think.

Come on, there is plenty of weeks where Super league is 2nd over past few years. Not really gonna complain about rivalling cricket world cup, hardly on every year.

And i had 28th march 2010 and week before that. haha

Fair enough - I do think that Super League is a quality product for Sky

What worries me a little is that the audience above is 282,000 whereas the highest figure SL has had this year is 214,000, I hope this isn't a trend (very difficult to analyse as you have to look at the figures week by week)
