Could be a great signing for Hull although signing him and sacking tansey from the outside looks like double standards, no club would turn the oppurtunity to sign a quality player like gleeson. Hopefully he will have a shocker on good friday

Regarding Cockayne/Gleeson comparison, yes cockayne has done things in the past and paid his dues and on the occasions I have met him, he was friendly and joking. Yes he has done wrong but lets stop dragging it up. At least he talks to fans and sponsers unlike some players.

Back to Gleeson and welcome to Hull, I know the local William Hill will have the red carpet out.

Happy with the signing from a playing pov, although some of the rumours are a little worrying. However he hasnt done anything whilst at Hull and we have shown with Tansey that we will take action if needs be.

Focusing in the positives it does give us a a really strong (and British) three-quarter line, Briscoe and Yeaman (who is playing his best rugby for a while) on one side and Gleeson and Sharp/Lyne on the other. Some real talent there.

i just think there might be a bit of double standards, they sack tansey for off the field stuff, we (the warriors) sack gleeson for off the field stuff and they sign him up

Surely it'd only be double standards if he broke our behaviour rules and we kept him at the club? what he did at his previuos club is no concern of ours, just what he does at our club.

It would be bloody difficult for us to sack Gleeson unless we employed him in the first place. Tansey simply took the pis[is[/i once too often, letting himself, his team mates and the fans down by failing to grasp the responsibilities of being a pro RL player. I have no doubt that Hull FC's off-field player expectations have been clearly signalled to Gleeson, I also have no doubt that any transgression, while wearing black and white hoops will see him shown the door quicker than anyone previously.

And you've seen Phelps how many times since he arrived?

Really? I thought he had played really well last couple of games and having seen all of his games so far I have been pleased with the signing. But I guess you are in a better place to judge having never seen him in black and white.
