much worse, infact i'd say he actually ties for this honour, cos round 2001 he was in the team at the same time as shannon heggarty

| Phil Bailey in my eyes was amazing defensively. Not the best player to grace the pitch and i'd bet he'd admit that too. But most importantly he was a true sportsman. VERY professional and bonded teams together well. I was gutted to hear him leaving Wigan and knew that he'd bring a lot to the backroom of Salford.
True gentleman in real life. It's a true shame he's been forced to retire as he thoroughly loves the game. I wish him the best for the future and hope he lands himself in a job in the sport somewhere. His passion and professionalism would be a waste if not.

| Bailey was a solid backrow player, his only real misfortune regarding the Kangaroos was his selection at centre when that was never his real position, hence he looked like a solid backrow playing as a makeshift centre in a side which normally has a world class centre in position. Chris McKenna fell into the same trap.
As far as gauging the potential in the South West, I'd have thought the rumoured Wembley international double-header at the end of the season would be good way to do this. [/quote:6jl68bf5]

54062_1294991734.gif RLFans finest:
Maguire was a black mark on RL in this country. Whilst coaches like Daniel Anderson and Brian McLennan won championships on the back of exciting Rugby league, Maguire set out to win at all costs, evident by the way Danny Maguire was seriously injured and laughed at on the floor by the wigan players as he writhed in agony. Then there has been the constant bending back of limbs, trying to seriously maim the opposition. Even Phil Clarke has jumped on the bandwagon with his disgusting comments about the Danny Maguire incident.
I think its fitting that the 2 fairest teams in the comp, who have been on the receiving end of Wigans tactics should contest the Grand Final and make it a proper family day out instead of the knuckle dragging, salivating neanderthals from Wigan, that would pour into manchester on grand final day.
I for one cant wait to mingle with the Leeds fans and have a beer with them, rather than having to watch my arms and legs, should wigan have got there.[/quote:3t42372l]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_54062.gif |

PHIPPS, I've heard of a beautiful holiday destination for you. It's called Libya. Why don't you give it a try sometime?

| I think it's more than a little sad that a man's career has ended prematurely and all most people can debate is whether or not he should have played for his national team. Do you think he should have refused? Did he force the Aussie management to select him in some way? Or did he just try his best to forge a career in a tough game and take the opportunities that were handed to him? He's done the decent thing at Salford and I respect him for that. There's plenty of superstars that wouldn't have done
