| Quote: Peckerwood "I can see where your coming from. This will only increase the gap between the top three international teams and the rest and wish there was another solution.
However, attendances for the game against France aren't that great and the standard of the French team is no real test for the England side. I cans see this countering both those factors against the French.'"
Sides get better by having good players and a good coach. Just because a side plays another side that is ranked higher than them it doesn't mean they necessarily improve for the experience.
No other sides other than Australia, New Zealand and England have any chance of winning a major tournament in our lifetimes. Sadly thats a fact.

| England can put out a side that on a good day can beat Australia or New Zealand but France, Wales or Ireland can't.

Well, he's the only foreigner at Warrington who you've not mentioned in your team selection.

My point being that England will benefit from playing a game against the 'All Stars' as you would have to say the 2 sides would be of a similar ability whereas England v Wales Scotland France or Italy would just end up a one sided affair with little or no benefit to anyone.

| Quote: headhunter "This is so typical of RL. I wouldn't blame France for jacking it off and going to play Union. At least they know how to treat their lesser nations.'"
Rubbish.
France couldnt keep up withthe pace. They've been given a chance but are clearly not ready yet. They'll still get a chance to EARN a game against the big teams like Wales have. You don't see comments by people saying they wouldn't blame Wales for jacking it off and going to play union because they don't play England every year. Or Tonga because they don't play Aus or NZ every year. It's rubbish.
England need tougher games until the other nations catch up. France and Wales need more pro players playing in the SL before they'll come anywhere near challenging England. Until then, it will always be a pointless walkover played in front of few fans, with little interest, at a tiny stadium with a 50+ point predicted hammering that does little for anyone.
France vs Wales will be a far better game for both teams. It will challenge both of them. The result won't be predictable. It's shown that it can draw a crowd in France and get media attention. It's a far better arrangement.

Louis Anderson & David Solomona the best 2 overseas second rowers in Super League? Please tell me you've not thought this through properly

Despite his eyes being far too close together David Solomona is an excellent player.

Yeah lets risk one of our top overseas players in a game against england which is pointless.
The whole idea is stupid, who exactley does the all stars team represent ? Another idea which will be probably poorly attended and it could put at risk some of our clubs top stars to injuries. You wouldn't mind if it was a game that was worth playing in.

No-one from Saints in that team. You'd have the choice of:
Meli, Soliola, Perry, Puletua, Flannery.

That would be a tough team to beat for England but a much better challenge then playing France. It's a tough call on the French though if we don't play them because they need to play better teams to enable them to improve aswell.

England can't keep up with the pace of NZ or Australia. Should England stop playing them?
