Really??? I thought I was a Roosters fan who worked for the Bears. SIgns are OK, but it's not cut and dried and even the bid team know that.

ipswich are long odds, there is no serious bid
it was reported back in april that central coast and perth would be admitted
with nearly 5000 members and mortgagehouse as a major sponsor they are long odds

Bids don't go in for a few months still. There are also people who don't want the Bears in and there are others that don't see a need to fill an area between Manly and Newcastle.
Are they right? What do you think?

manly, some sydney clubs and newcastle probably dont want CC
im sure the broncos and titans dont want ipswich
ipswich dont have a real bid. its just the mayors idea, no money, no community drive. too early for them
the bears have been working at it for far longer
the fact theyve got mortgagehouse is massive, they underwrite the club
if the nrl ignore the CC bears they will be crazy, they are a better bet than perth imo for many reasons

| the return of souths helped rl regain some of its lost fans from the sl war, the bears will be the same
rl has a massive hole in sydney where the bears used to be, they dont support the roosters and they dont support manly
its a very rich area and weve left if to afl and union
secondly the CC is an expansion area for the nrl but a rl heartland with juniors, ground etc
its a slam dunk, another gold coast titans plus with the tradition of the bears getting the nth shore back

It’s more likely that I’ll motorboat Katy Perry before that eventuates.
Valleys are dead and gone. The only way it’d happen is if a new team like the Jets decided to revive their name/colours/records in a completely new entity and I can’t see that ever happening.

Clubs don't want the Bears in so it will be an interesting test of how "independent" the new IC is. I agree if bids were being decided this week the Bears and Reds are walk ins. As it is they may not be decided for another 6 months which gives Ipswich plenty of time. They really only need to get a stadium deal locked in, some corporate and Govt support and that will be enough. Crushers showed there will be a fan base.
Alot will come down to who the TV company sees as the most lucrative option and another Q'land team to show live on a Fri night is probably more appealing than a 11th NSW (ACT) team.

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

Where would you get enough quality players to fill a further four sides without a significant drop in standards. To be honest the greater majority of overseas players in SL struggle to make any perceivable impact in SL let alone the NRL.
