Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing

This season the Championship is set to be even more competitive than last year , it really is impossible to call , I fully expect the powers that be to put us all back together in one league after this season , or remove P and R from the Championships
Either way they'll bugger it up for us all again
Just leave us alone on the set up and playing side , just help us find more supporters and help us maximise our revenue streams

Being honest it's true though and a lot of clubs say that themselves. With respect I don't think Leigh were the 3rd best team last season they had a great start and a very string season all credit but luck with injuries & loans played a part and though squad is strong I really don't see a title threat there. Last year had a lot of typical hard fighting Leigh wins in tough conditions but I can't see them having it that good again just yet, though you'll still be there or there abouts  |

| 1st six games for Leigh are Featherstone, Barrow, Widnes, Halifax, Featherstone (again!), Barrow (again!)
I think after those first few matches we should have a decent idea of where we stand in comparison to the other 'top' teams in the division.

Didn't expect you to understand the point I was trying to make  yes on table 3rd and fantastic but if you asked me to name best 3 teams in Chsmpionship 2010 you wouldn't be there IMO, that is all. Factually of course you were based on league table! |

Who would you say were the top 3 then?? Fev and Fax obviously and then who? Barrow? Leigh comfortably finished above them in the end and they were so inconsistent it was unreal. Who else? Widnes who we trounced home and away and finished easily clear of in the league. Who else makes up 'YOUR' all important top 3

Is two wins 'comfortable' now a days? Leigh had a great season for them, but can they do better? Where they ever a serious challenger? I don't think so but would say Barrow were at the end yes.

Well that is your opinion
Injuries aren't an excuse BUT having 17 unavailable for one game is not the norm and our injuries last year where way above normal (Barrow kept mentioning there's including when played us and we had more out etc), we don't use it as an excuse but it can't be overlooked when looking at how good a side we did / will have out IMO.

We had a similar amount of injured players back in 2005 , I dont remember much ' tea and sympathy ' from anybody at the time , all we heard was " you're Sh1 t " , we played the whole second half of last season with two injured half backs , which might to some suggest why we didn't perform as well as the 1 st half of the season
