| Nice to see Phil Bentham getting to take charge of an International game......
As much as he and Ganson et al receive stick on here, the decision by RLIF (or ARL if I am honest) to not have a neutral ref last weekend was stupid

So......the RLIF, supposedly set up to Govern the game internationally isn't running this comp....but instead, the European governing body is or is at least contributing to it.....Hmmm...OK.

Yes. The RLIF does nothing other than badly organise the Four Nations when it's held in Australia. I'm not sure if it was involved in last year's Pacific Cup, but I doubt it. Literally all the development work in the northern hemisphere is done by the RLEF. The RLIF has no involvement or interest at all. The RLIF has no headquarters, no staff and as far as I'm aware consists solely of occasional meetings between Richard Lewis (head of the RLEF), the head of the NZRL and the two crooked Australians. They don't even have a website FFS.

The RLIF has no involvement or interest, all the international growth of the last 10 years or so is down purely to the RLEF.'"
.....which points to why RL struggles to be taken seriously as an International sport. It's bad enough that there are subtle differences in rules between domestic and International league and having 2 refs per game in one league and 1 in the other doesn't help either, but surely, from top to tail, the game needs that sorted out before there is any hope of true expansion and growth

| Extends to 11 the number of international rugby league sides playing over the last couple of months.
Excellent stuff.
Hopefully Jamaica will perform well and we will see a quality tournament.

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

Sorry you are correct this time...13 teams in internationals minimum.
I forgot the Tonga v Samoa match, which should have been treated as a stand alone game after the RLWC 2008. Issy bitched and moaned for weeks about it.
