Saints will pick Huddersfield.
If they picked Wigan and lost then the fans would be pretty peed off I imagine. Common sense dictates that they'll pick the lowest placed team left.

Even if Wire had beat Huddersfield tonight they would still have not picked Wigan.
The Saints chairman has said he would pick the lowest ranked team which is Huddersfield. |

The club call will always result in the club picking the lowest based side.
Imagine if they picked somebody else and they lost? They'd never live it down.

The club call offers absolutely nothing. If a team who finishes 5th-8th makes it this far then they will be the team that will be always be chosen, so the team with the club call will just be picking who they would be naturally playing anyway. If Warrington had won tonight then Saints would have had to choose between 1st and 3rd, which is not exactly a benefit.

Saints will be praying that Wigan knock Leeds out.
I reckon Saints will win it this year, but it will be alot harder if it's vs Leeds. The doubt will already be there, but they might overcome it for Keiron Cunningham.
If they do it without Pryce & Eastmond it will be an exceptional achievement.

i think its a good idea the club call as it rewards the stronger teams during the season with more advantage in the semis
the only disadvantage is you might see the same semis played again but its a small price to pay |

No.
To be fair the Giants played to a superb game plan which was very effective. Warrington played some really wierd stuff, one man out barges etc., which isn't their style.
